    In early bloody frozen. Waste of time as I only seen one in over 2 hours, perhaps due to a bleeding cat wandering the barns - I've never even seen a cat there before think I'll have a few cans instead.

    A permission I have has a rat problem in their barns where I took quite a few months ago now they are back in numbers, took 3 at lunch time the other day. New Deben Gl2 lamp fitted with red filter should make thing more fun as it turns dark.

    I suppose it depends on what type of shooting your doing. I currently love the 'vermin pell' for rats - the rats dont like them though!

    Got myself permission on a farm with a rat problem. Had a great couple of evenings there 12 on first shoot, 6 on second. Lots of cattle feed etc = some very large rats! Great fun though.

    Nice one pal, I've just got myself a bsa ultra after being without one for a while. Don't rush out for live quarry too quick, i've found i need to get used to the set up so plenty of target shooting for me first. Good luck.

    Does anyone use a lazer for hunting? I've just bought a ultra m/s that has one fitted, i'm just wondering if it is worth trying to zero to it.

    I have found a shop offering a brand new FX Gladiator at 450 - almost 1/2 price. Has anyone any experience of these rifles? Obviously they hold a lot of air but is that the only good point? Thanks for any help.

    Well I managed a couple of hours before my fingers froze stiff - even with neoprene gloves on! Seen a few bunnies out but could not get close enough for a shot. Also frightened a pheasant out of some reeds although I wouldn't have shot it cos I'm pretty sure it's illegal to shoot birds after dark. I'm planning on going to work on my bike at 5am and don't want that pain in my fingers again so hoping the snow stops by then.

    It's about -3, flat calm and crunchy with ice out there but I've got an itch to go out for some bunnies tonight. It's black eye friday and I've got work in the morning so I'm looking for something to do to take my mind off the fact that everyone else is on the lash. I'm gonna have a couple of hours out after my tea, what's the chances of me getting any shots?

    Thanks hunter, I've just been through another post and found out tench is a person . Is that a larger cylinder than normal?

    Excuse my ignorance guys but what is the tench? I can see it has a larger cylinder than normal, any other changes?

    Well I found my scope was out by abot 3" at 25m tuned it in a bit and tried again tonight - dropped 2 with 2 shots in 10 minutes, so getting more chufter by the minute.

    Thanks Zini, I'm not that worried about missing a few. I know I have a lot to correct, distance shots, zero-ing to a better distance etc etc. I might try again tonight and just take the easier shots. Can't wait for the dvd's.

    Thanks Matt, my rifles a BSA Ultra .22. I think I did have too many long range shots. I think a lot of it was down to nervous excitement too.
