OK will try to reorganise his exercise, I think he just gets really skitish and goes mental. Trying to make a ballence of play with a ball etc and the let him have a sniff round the garden. Realised if we don't distract him for the first 10-15 minutes he's more likely to go to the loo. So I'm letting him just wander round the garden untill he's been to the toilet then after that I'll play with a ball with im for a few minutes say 5-8 then get him on the lead for a couple laps of the garden then inside. We can do that twice a day and that should be giving hime 15 minutes of real exercise plus s

Thanks for the replies. Actually this morning was quite funny. He started crying at 5am but he doesn't whine unless he needs to get out for the toilet so I went down and took him out. Stood outside in boxer shorts and teeshirt after 10 minutes it looked like he wasn't going to go so I let him back in where he promptly crapped on the floor. He's been pretty good today and we're starting to learn to trust our instincts and when we 'think' the signs are there we'll just take him out and wait. Not sure whether I should be changing his feeding times so he doesn't want the toilet in the

At the moment he is not very popular, he keeps crapping and weeing in the house sometimes after he's even been out and if you notice the time this was posted the little monster has got me up at 5 am lol. Thought he wanted the toilet so came down and he wont go out. Think he was just bored.

Yep he got zapped by a minimi as well, I'll try to find it. Normallly I owuldn't take pleasure in someone elses suffering but those wankers are just prolunging their own peoples suffering on top of trying to kill our servicemen who are there to bloody help them. On telly right this minute is a vid about some lad called Ali who lost his arms in Iraq and showing all the reabhilitation he's getting here. Where is the same film about out soldiers who've got to go through the same thing...

I gotta say special thanks to the advice I got of THL, especially Rickyspringer and Hendo. I didn't have a clue when i started looking (still dont) and in partticular everytime I look at him I remember what Ricky said about being careful to get too good a breeding....lol...the little bugger is running rings round me already. Secondly yes he is a total meat head! I need to get some kind of scale when i take the pics. He's massive and very very strong. Not what I expected having seen all the dopey local labs down the park. Forget that...Automatic grenade launcher please might do a bit too much meat damage for hunting but mr Talib wont like em. Did you watch that last video by the way? Can you imagine the fear of having one or two Minimis turned on you like that? They can't of had any combat knowlege at all attacking fortified positions on high ground in day light without heavy suppressing fire. I almost felt sorry for them.

I know nothing at all about coursing or lurchers so was just doing a bit of reading and found this video. I thought it was quite nicely done. Two things I thought 1)Those dogs look like they are having so much fun 2)Holy foook those hares/rabbits are bloody fast!!! :icon_eek: Oh and how come the owner runs like mad towards the dog as soon as it catches the hare? Is it to stop it chewing it up?

Thanks to the good advice I got it is much appreciated. We picked up our Lab on saturday. It didn't take him long to get his feet under the table and within hours took to steeling shoes, infact steeling anything he can find. We've called him Ollie (probably). I've taken loads of pics but he wont stand still so they're nearly all blured. Something tells me he is going to be a VERY big lad!

From what I've heard the injuries from a 5.56 are horendous compared to the 7.62 when can wizz straight through. ANyway don't matter what gun they get, they can't stop IEDs and thats what cause the deaths over there. We simply don't lose firefights to the Taliban ever.

We're doing the same but it's just playing in the garden at the moment as he hasn't has his jabs yet. Is it just once per day as well? Hardly sounds like anything as the little bugger just sleeps the rest of the day. When he goes out to go to the toilet he goes a bit mad and we cant get him back inside lol. Think we need to work on the discipline.

OK well I went against all sensible advice and have bought a 2001 Range Rover. I suppose I'll have to drop the Stockport accent and start pretending to be posh. I was sent on a discovery but the minute I sat inside the Rangie the interior was just awsome. It does nearly everything probably would wipe your bum after a poo. Hope I got a good one, its only got 57k on the clock and looks like a very honest motor. Hope that isnt famous last works.

Really good idea for a thread. I joined here after I took up shooting to learn more about the shooting of quary and that was pretty much it. The more I read about the traditions I knew nothing about having been brought in a town the more I got interested. I never would have expected to have been interested by hunting with dogs but this site has really opened my eyes. WHile I'll probably never work a dog other than a gun dog I have developed an interest in lurchers and terriers. I think it's important to know more about traditional sports as a 'townie' as there tends to be more anti fee
