Make sure you get something that fits well and forget about the brand. Take your time and maybe get some lessons with a coach because a good one will give you advice on the right gun and fittings.

Doesn't even matter what name you use. I think most people have no idea how un-annonymous they really are on the internet. I hardly have anyone on Facebook, only people I know well and I don't post on any pages I am subscribed to. I would actually like to get rid of it all together but I do find it useful from time to time.

I just think that sometimes we (the media or who ever) are expecting rediculous levels of self discipline from soldiers. These guys have to be 100% agressive when they are fighting in order to win the firefight but then five minutes later we expect them to act like mother Theressa. Those guys might have lost several freinds before this in horrible ways IEDS and ambushes and then finally they get their own back by defeating their enemy and they've basically got over excited. Yeh I have, I hardly touched the trigger and the bloody thing went off scared the hell out of me. I had 4 or 5 more rounds to fire after that I felt like I was just trying to get rid of them ha ha. Got a photo afterwards of me grinning like an idiot, but it was a grin of relief

LOL!! A Taliban spokesman described the scenes as "barbaric". So cutting off hands and heads plus murdering thousands of inocent people who disagree is OK but pissing on a dead guy is barbaric? Wow!!

I agree but the main populus have lived in large towns and cities for a long time, I think it's industrialised food production that broke the connection between people and where their food actually comes from. Farmer's markets now are just a novelty (mostly for weathier people) in large towns. 50 or 60 years ago that was where you got a lot of your food. Only education of children and adults alike will solve the problem. While they are annoying I find that Hugh Fernley et al are helping to some extent. -
Definately agree. Like you say talking animals on the telly is probably where it starts but it is a lack of education/understanding in rural affairs and that is because the connection between towns/cities and the countryside has been lost. Largely food doesn't get bought from a farmers market anymore and there is no preparation involved with meat from a supermarket so the customers don't meet the producer nor have to handle a dead animal. Basically food isn't hard to come by so people don't give it a second thought. Things may change as we all get poorer due to inflation & resesion and

Think it costs about £300,000 a year to keep people in prison that should be reason enough 300 grand where you locking them up. the holiday inn lol. Yeh you're right and I was wrong dunno where I thought I saw that figure....probably some vicotr meldrew crap in the daily mail. 31-40k per person in the UK but 70k in NI.

Yeh Salmon's just a power monger and if he got so called independence he'd hand it all right to the EU and then jump on the gravey train for his pay out like the rest of those gready tw*ts.. I kid you not they are well into their game here everywhere sells rabbit and hare but mostly it's skinned etc but in the butchers they still hang them in their jackets. It aint cheap though one rabbit and not even a big one(3/4) will set you back about 7quid They charge 2 quid for a pigeon near us....I thought that was a bit cheaky. Might as well pot a couple with an air rifle in the garden.....for crop protection of course

I'm always giving my wife and kids a hard time about double checking the oven, open fires etc. My biggest worry are those fecking hair straighteners, I've found them left on several times. Told the oldest that nextg time they go in a bucket of water. test smoke alarms on a regular basis as well

I tried a similar post on PW and didn't get any replies either....maybe I write gibberish. If any people who understand about inner workings of a gun have any thoughts on this I really would be appreciative! I know I should have sent it straight back but I didn't want to be without my gun during the winter as I was hoping to get out on some rough shooting. Even my gunsmith gave me a funny smile and suggested that maybe I was accidentally clicking it back on to safe which is definitely not the case. -
