  1. My lab is on Skinners duck and rice. He looks good and no fat on him
  2. Keep your dog in and feed his tonnes of chocolate...see how long it is before he starts asking you to stop
  3. so no coincedence on it being show at this time and its getting longer than anthing else oh here we go right on cue we dont know what the future will hold the bbc at its anti best Yep and a couple of weeks after the winning photo for their calender was a mediocre one of a badger. Not political at all
  4. I hate people that give food to my dog with out asking first. If he's getting a treat then he's going to work for it.
  5. Spectacular photos but what a terrible job!! I studied Mining Geology at Camborne School of Mines and have been down a fair few mines, we loved it. In Cornwall they used you employ young lads who's job it was to scrape arsenic off the chimney walls after burning arsenopyrite. Doubt they lived long either
  6. Isn't it really hard to hit pigeon with a 410? I'll be buggered if I am going to make life harder for myself I'll keep an eye out for a cheap 410 that we can cut down to size next year, I just want to keep her in to outdoor sports. She already rides and as you can imagine this is costing us a fortune.
  7. Yeh there's no way I would get rid of the 12 bore. I shot with 20 bore MK70 with a shortened stock about 2 years ago and it was great but the cartridge cost is too much for clayshooting, as I am still learning (and probably will be for the rest of my life ) I try and go as often as possible. Nick
  8. Cheers Sean Yep I am going to get a SBS one day but not sure if it will be the next gun I get...firstly I am a sucker for shiny things, engraving and nice wood...non of which make me shoot better and secondly I'll need to spend a fair bit of time getting used to a double trigger as well as the barrel configuration and I'm not sure if this is a great idea if I am trying to get out on a shoot in the next couple of months. I guess I could just go Browning/Miroku again but the shortest barrels they do are 28".
  9. Woodburner on...autumn is here brill!!

Had mine going for about a week now! lol Can't put it on yet because I'm waiting for the chimney sweep.

  10. Cheers Darren Yeh I just want something so she can just get used to holding it and the sound and feel of it all but you make a good point she's only a little thing so might struggle holding on her own. Basically she's the most reliable person I know and is always up for a day out unlike most other people I know who cry off at the last minute so she's be the perfect shooting partner one day
  11. I love to idea of a side by side but I've not been shooting that long so the totally different style might cause more problems that it's worth. Regarding a 20 bore I was thinking that as long as I got cartridges that are a different colour like yellow (which they are supposed to be but aren't always) it wouldn't be too dangerous. But would you still get a shorter barrelled gun? I am guessing yes.
  12. Nice photos, I love autumn and really look forward to it. Nicer landscapes and scenery, crisp mornings and less people about as well
  13. I think I posted something like this over two years ago before I got my shotgun. In the end I bought a Miroku MK70 in 12 bore with 30" barrels. After I had 1/4 of an inch taken off the stock I find I shoot clays with it pretty well but I still feel it's a bit unwieldy at times especially for something like a bolting rabbit or close fast moving target. It might be because I am a bit of a short arse at only 5' 7" but it's just a feeling I get. I am desperately trying to find some shooting somewhere, and since I don't have a permission anywhere yet it's going to have to be a paid day
  14. What age do you think it would be ok for a child to start out with a 410 and with what carts? My daughter is 6 1/2 and 7 in May and loves coming to the clay ground with me although it might be for the sausage sandwiches and scones
  15. I've never seen any difference between them personally...maybe if you are an amazing shot or something you might. I pull the trigger, it goes bang and the clay breaks or not. I just get the cheapest ones which I believe are Hull X 28 gram. I did start out on the 21 gram and I couldn't tell much difference between them and the 28 gram either.
  16. taste amazing, dont invite me for dinner at yours if you think that shite taste's amazing Its the reason that food tastes good apparently...the brain is programed to want those things. I never eat any fast food i dont like it
  17. Pretty much anything with half a bucket of fat, salt and sugar in it will taste amazing

  21. Not sure about the wrong path I have 3 daughters 2 are the right path and 1 on the wrong. If that is the way they want too go there is not a lot you can do. Beleave me we have tried. I work in IT so know exactly what goes on via her facebook etc but to be honest there are some things I wish I didnt know But I guess it is better too be aware even if you can do bugger all Yeh no kidding. Raising kids is a nightmare once they get to the teens especially girls.
  22. Possibly so, however thats a little price and inconvenience to pay to reap some retribution. Thats the society we live in. What about the scum that gets away unscaved? i totally agree just think that couple down melton mobery should never have been arrested. We woak up one morning to find some scum had been in our house...wasnt bothered about the stuff they nicked but took months to get over.
  23. Also shows how hooked kids are on facebook etc...like kay said she ccould have got rid off those sites and they couldnt have got at her but for some reason she didnt.
