  1. I would say that 22 inches is about right, I believe from what I've heard that most of the Mod 595s were 20 inches from new. Bob.
  2. Hi, Your views on .222 for fox and roe. Bob.
  3. awsome calibre in my opinion i have a tikka t3 lite stainless with t8 mod 2.5-10x 56 scopes wouldnt swap it for the world but am now thinking of 243 as an all rounder. how do you find the 22/250 with a 19 inch barrel ? is it abit more snappy being shorter ? and do you get big flash and muzzle Hi Jamie, I've only ever had a .22-250 in the small centre fire rifles, so nothing to compare with, IE .222 & .223, but I did have a .22-250 Winchester Coyote with laminated stock and 20" heavy varmint barrel which wieghed a ton, there was zilch kick off that because of the wieght,

  5. Sorry photo did not load, this new format is a pain in the a**e.
  6. Hi, I have an 02 Reg. I must admit it's been not bad, I have been everywhere with it, in fields up the side of hills, deep mud etc. just came up this hill in photo in low ratio 4 wheel drive last winter, there was no turning back. My dislikes are, it is high revving because of low gearbox ratio and uses quite a lot of diesel, but excellent for lamping and shooting out of window with short barrelled rifle and very comfortable on the road, having said that I don't think I would have another, I fancy a Toyota Hilux next time. Bob.

  10. Hi Ryan, I have Bushnell bino's and scope, I find them very sharp. Bob.
  11. You got it right, you work to live, not live to work, enjoy.
  12. Strange old country, you get hauled up on suspicion, but they can shoot people on trains and walk away!
  13. Welcme from Aberdeenshire.
  14. Hi, What I do with a new scope is, turn your cross hair adjusters in one direction until you come to the stop, then turn them back the other way counting the clicks until you come to the stop again, then turn them back agian until you reach half way counting the clicks, IE if the clicks from end to end is 300 then turn it back 150 clicks, and you should be in the middle, thus your cross hairs should be parallel with the barrel. You shouldn't be far off now, just minor adjustment. Bob.
  15. Thats it mate they dont even make an effort to fit in, allot of them don’t even learn English. The benefits we are giving them should be given to the families that have lost their sons and daughters fighting in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. atb bedrock Here Here, Should put all the sponging MP's in uniforms and send them out there.
  16. Thier in Aberdeenshire
  17. There are four country's in the uk, and sadly each one of them will have -istan attached to them if we don't act now!
  18. Well done, you probably did the Sika favour. Bob.
  19. Bob, were these lumps hard? TB lesions can form along the ribs and look remarkably like what you have shown! Did you fully inspect the pluck & head lymph nodes? Did you try to incise these lumps? John Hi John, Yes the lumps were very hard same as the rib bones, the pluck and lymph nodes looked OK as was the liver no different to any others I've seen, but what I will say is I think it was quite an old Buck and not in great condition, it had quite a number of full ticks around it's neck, throat and chin area. Bob.
  20. I hope all the real hard men in prison show the woman beater, who the f**k they are!
  21. Hi, Attached is a photo of the rib cage (sorry about the quality) of a Roe buck I shot a few weeks ago, the lumps are quite hard, I think it may have been hit with a car at some point and the ribs have healed, I have been stalking for man. years and never come across this before. Has anyone else come across this before, could it be something else rather than broken ribs. Regards Bob.
  22. I have owned one and to be honest it was a good rifle, a little light weight mind but the walnut stocked helped. Accuracy was good, action was reliable. All in all I'd give it a 8 ex 10 but I would not buy another based on current prices and would go with a Rem 700 because CZ are still budget rifles but that of course depends up on the price of the rifle you are looking at. John Thank you all for your reply's. Bob.
