  1. have you tried doing it when he's in the bath ?
  2. My dog was the same. What I do is give her a bowl off fresh chicken in with her complete food and trim the nails as she is eating. You need to hold the paw like you would a horse’s hoof. To start off only aim to cut one claw. If you get one done let the dog know how good he is. If the dog really gets upset leave it and trey again the next day. My dog is still iffy. Sometime I only get to cut one claw so I do one a day. But sometimes I get to cut them all. I only do as many as she can tolerate at a time and go back to do more the next day. Remember he only gets to keep the nice chicken he is
  3. i use the hose pipe on mine. you have to be spot on in your timing. wait by the back door have the pipe on full ready. as soon as you here a bark soke the dogs. i soke mine even if they shut up when i get out there. they are much better now , i only have to say "right who wants it " and they shut up
  4. and how did it die.? you let a ferret kill it, and i know that ferrets dont kill quick. plus it was a kitten, had no chance to get away. plus your mate was holding it like a trophy. it mite have been feral but it is still an animal that has the right to die as humanely as possible. you could have despatched it in a quicker way and not stood there smiling for a photo like an idiot who was clearly pleased to have killed it.
  5. poor girl. she mite end up being a loner. when i go to the rescue to look at ferrets i will also look at maybe taking in a loner. i worry that a loner mite get lonely in the cage on its own. but i am still considering it if there is a loner that really needs a home.
  6. That’s disgusting, why do I get the feeling there are a lot of cat haters on this forum. I would shoot anyone who hurt my cat. I think people who hate cats just don’t have the intelligence to understand them. I use to have a cat that took wild rabbits better than any dog. Took that cat out over the fields with me and the dog couldn’t get a better hunter. Broke my heart when he died. Remember, even if you don’t like cats they are someone’s pet and they are loved you should not hurt a cat anymore than you would want someone to hurt your dog just because they don’t like dogs. I wond
  7. i think if the cat had cat flu he would know about it . and most kittens /cats are vaccinated against it. make shore your kitty getts his vaccinations.
  8. I think ferrets can get along fine with cats. Best thing to do is let the kitten get a bit bigger and more able to stand up for its self. Then let the kitten see the ferrets throw the cage so they get used to each other. Then get one ferret out at a time put it on a harness so you have some control and let them have a meet up. As long as it don’t turn nasty. You can do this a few time till you feel safe to let them play. But I would not put the kitten with all the ferrets as it would be out numbered and the ferrets may see it as an intruder. Just does it slow bit by bit? But let kitty get bi
