  1. I have always used Vitalin as my main dry but as they have gone bust this is the closest i have used for quality and price http://www.feedem.co...ret-food-p15972
  2. At 3 weeks put a bit skinned raw meat in.. rabbit, chicken, turkey they will suck it and get the juices out and learn its food.. after a few more days they will be in up to their eyebrows feeding
  3. Mate you can keep your Celtic crimson eyed creams.........I breed Welsh red eyed whites! LOL.. well you can keep your welsh crap.. ive got some mocha legged blue tongued pieds here
  4. It varies but normally around 5 weeks old
  5. .. is that one litter ? as a good mix of colours, Know colour does not matter but a nice mixed litter
  6. Put some flyers up mate, lamposts and shop windows ect, mention she is tame and a small reward.. kids will do owt for a reward
  7. Is she in season or just been brought out ?
  8. Keep her on the rabbit and other meat, whatever was stuck has obviously gone down now. just keep a watch over the next day or so to make sure it passes through ok
  9. Dont risk it mate, if a ferret wants out they will be through in no time.
  10. The hobs will fight when in season no matter how big the cage/ court, its normal hob behaviour and not fair on the one taking the beating. I would also not chance a young ferret with a hob in season, he may do it some real damage.
  11. Blue ferrets always some tit who thinks cos they look blue at 3 weeks they have a new colour, he will be disappointed to find they turn into common poleys
  12. Sound like silvers mate..
  13. I take the one a day tablets but they are not doing their job this year.. now using Beconase nasal spray, not cheap at about a fiver but its worth it
  14. Does he have black/ dark brown wax in his ears ? also if you can get a bit of the black stuff off his head and put it on a wet tissue it will dissolve and go bright red if its dried blood..
  15. If its only his tail dont worry, its known as rat tail and a couple of mine have started getting it, some get it and some dont during the summer and it can go bald in places, it will regrow but probably not until the next moult.
  16. Vasectomies aren't guarenteed. This is why the term 'proven vasectomised hob' exists. Plus if the hob is used too soon after the op, there is a high chance he will impregnate the jills! If the hob was operated on in Feb and you used him soon after, then yes, you would get pregnant jills! Either the vets didn't explain the post-op outcomes to you or you didn't listen. If I was in the same situation as you, being given a full refund for a vasectomised hob and the offer of a free vasectomy on another hob, I wouldn't complain. I'd just use enough common sense to not use a recently vasectomised hob
  17. Agree mate, friend of mines hob had the same problem and it was cancer.
  18. Up until 16 weeks i always feed 3 raw meals a day and dry and water available 24/7, then drop it down to 2 meat feeds and dry 24/7until they are 20 weeks after that they get meat on an evening and dry 24/7. Kits have a high metabolism so regulary feeds are important during their main growing faze, give them all they can eat but remove after they finish eating to stop fly eggs.
  19. Yes they are a good supplement food for the fezzers, as you said they dont have a massive nutritional value but good for their teeth and roughage. Mine go crazy for them.. tug of war
  20. Eyes open anytime now, but get them on raw meat preferably with bone in as cat food does not have all they need at this age
  21. If she is put outdoors when its warmish she will adapt to temperature changes, and come winter will put on a good winter coat, as long as she has plenty of warm bedding she will come to no harm. Does the garage have windows ? as natural light is needed for good health. Introduce her to the kits on neutral ground and she will probably be over the moon to have some ferret friends, good luck
  22. Long way to go for a bit breakfast and to give the dogs a walk but, it is very scenic Bad craic though that the police say / assume the lads are all involed in other criminal activities
  23. put "pie line" in the search bar, it comes up with plenty results
