  4. Depends if you are talking about quality or price.. Vitalin ferret is the best available and is cheaper than some but you can get cheaper ( alpha, dr jons ect ) I have trailed dry food for a few years now and would not use wellbeloved even if it was 2 quid a bag, Vitalin is real chicken for the protein ( not meal or by products )and has all the right ingredients including taurine required for overall good health, I mix 3 brands just incase i go short of one..
  5. Most of mine only took a few weeks for the hormones to subside, you can get either sex to go in with him but if another hob yes he will need his nuts off.. if you can take him when you go for another fert and let him choose who he likes, it saves on fighting during introductions
  6. By the smile on his face dont think the soaking bothered him.. great to see young uns getting involved.

  12. Its a kit and has to associate hands mean good things, give it a good run and feed before handling. also give it a lick of olive oil or similar ( ferret crack ) when holding and stroking him.. Dont ever hit him on the nose or anywhere else, you want to win his trust not have him fearing you..

  17. I used to make my own.. but its easier to get an old proper wood sideboard or similar, router one of the doors out and replace with mesh, cover shelf in lino and your sorted, old pine breadbin with a hole for a nestbox
  18. i use vasaleen when my ferret get ticks, smover the tick in it and it will simply drop off within 2 days did you NOT read Kays post above yours ?? yes it works but not the best for your animals

  20. Most probably NO ( i say this as somone will be on shortly and claim they can ) the very rare times i have known hobs to live in harmony without neutering was brothers never seperated since birth, and then only because one was more submissive after getting ragged by the dominant one. Best to get their clackers removed at about 6 months, they will then live together fine, be more chilled out and focused for the work
