  1. You gotta take the good with the bad. I'm an American who loves to hunt dogs, and it may not be in the traditional UK sense. But ultimately, the result's the same and it's a shared passion. BTW, need to find out if they accept international subscriptions. Yes mate they do take international subscriptions, as long as it's legal tender they'll take it. I think you'll thouroughly enjoy it once you take it, I know I do. Regards B Good endorsement...we'll order.
  2. This is advise I wish folks over here would follow. We seem to be having an all out war on public workers. While the bankers, who brought the worlds economy to it's knees. Just keep on getting richer. Some posters on this thread sound like they would rather fight over the scraps. Than take on the real problem. ATB While I like your fly tying reference to one of the classics....what wealth have the working class ever produced ?
  3. What one needs out of a dog is so subjective....For example, I run Airedales. It's my understanding the 'dales over there are a show dog and nothing more. Mine are workers to the bone...get pissed when they aren't in the field. Here in coyote country, my dogs work underground,in 'push overs', in and around cattle....and so forth. But I wouldn't dream of setting them to ground like UK dogs
  4. Be so glad when I retire.

  10. It depends on the hole.A bit of KY and you should get in most of them! HAHAHAHAHA
  11. Finally able to get back on here after months of some kind of browser issue...missed you blokes.
  12. Make no mistake ,though, I don't consider myself a terrierman in the traditional sort of way. I don't consider a spade a normal part of my hunting tackle, and don't expect anykind of ground game. But I intend to incorporate that someday.
  13. Right now mine are about 55 lbs. and won't get much bigger at just now a year old. We're still in training ...but they seem to have the knack for it both in tolling and bolting them from cover, tracking and the occassional fight. Most importantly , they've integrated well into the family as regular members with-in their place ,naturally.
  14. LOL...Mine are Airedales. Bought 'em for above ground work. For obvious reasons. Also to run with bird dogs on occassion to keep the coyotes off of 'em while they work.
  15. I have two terriers ...but if they decide to go to ground you won't need a spade; you'll need a miner's helmet and a canary . But then I didn't get mine for ground work, either.
  16. I am glad you enjoyed your trip...that was alot of coonin' !!
  17. How'd they catch it ? Was it denned ? No staffy alive is going to run down a coyote. Period the video i was talking about the ambull was fighting with the coyotes in a field, as for the staff i didnt say "run down" Ahhh...so,say, having one as a kill dog ,per se . I've heard of the old timers using a kill dog when they ran pure greyhounds. It was usually a pit, ambull, or airedale if memory serves. In fact, not long after I brough my two Airedales home I was outside tending my garden while my neighbor was outside, my 'Dales were dicking off by his fence. He went "Holy shit ! Those
