  1. Ok cheers mate. Looks like I'll have to borrow one again....
  2. Eventually used all the rabbits in my freezer so I payed £11 for a sack of dried ferret food. The ferrets won't touch it even after soaking it overnight to make it soft. Anyone know how to get them eating it?
  3. Anyone know how long after the operation you can use a vasectomised hob to bring a jill out of season? One of my bitches has come in season a second time....
  4. Don't suppose you could post it......?
  5. You'll be surprised how much they'll eat!
  6. I had to seperate my two. they kept bumming.
  7. Hi mate i will have it if you,ve still got it please....
  8. Brilliant. Thanks for the advice. The dog is about 7 months I think. I walk my two dogs with him every so often and he has a good run and play with them but still goes if he sees another dog on the horizon. i realise its natural for them to want to meet other dogs but I think this could develop into a major problem if its not dealt with. Probably training and socialisation classes are the best thing then. I have two dogs myself so i'm not a complete novice but never had any problems like this with them. Cheers.
  9. Hi, My mum has a lakeland x jack russel. Its not a bad little dog apart from its obsessed with other dogs. If it sees another dog it'll just run off, completely ignoring everything else. It doesn't give up it'll just keep running after them until someone grabs it! Just wants to play its not aggressive or anything but its becoming a real problem. Any ideas or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Not brave enough to try it myself but it can be done, apparently, if the run is big enough and the hob has somwhere else to sleep.....I would say it depends a lot on the nature of the hob.
  11. Possibly coming into season? Bitchs pee a lot, a few drips at a time to leave thier scent everywhere when they come into season.....
  12. ANY help would be great! Just an idea that worked with my lurcher, tie a long string like a washing line to his collar and pull him in a couple of times with the ball. Then instead of pulling him all the way just give a quick tug and he'll come expecting you to pull him in. Worth a try. I was in the same position and it worked a treat! Good luck. i gave your technique a try and i must say that was the best result since i tried them out side of his kennel , i didnt even have to pull, i gave a wee tug when he vered away and he came stright in to me! top stuff cheers for that ben 07731

  14. Mine have just gone to a vasectomised hob. They've been in season about a month and the only difference I could see is that they were really hyperactive, the pregnant one was really calm. Dunno if other people have noticed this?
  15. I've heard this from other people...do you think its just a myth that they need to be brought out of season then?
  16. My mates had one for years. I've never heard of them dying cos of it.
  17. No point breeding unwanted kits.....
  18. I think its about £15....just phone round a few vets and find the cheapest.
  19. They don't like crawling over anything sharp like sharp sand, grit, eggshells, etc............
  20. You can get an injection from the vets to bring them out of season. Or find someone with a vasectomised dog ferret which will mate with them and stop thier season but not make them pregnant...
  21. I had this problem with my beddy whippet. The old lady next door puts chicken, etc down for the cats. Kept b0llocking her every time she did it. It took about two months but she finally seems to be getting the message!
  22. I have to seperate my two hobs in the breeding season or one tries to bum the other one....they're OK the rest of the time.
