  1. ratting, retrieving etc. is about the limit of kerry blues, they arn't good for much and never were.Working wheatens and glens were dogs to be proud of but kerry blues and irish terriers were always a big let down,a lot loved a fight but like most working terriers the most ferocious fighters were normally the most cowardly workers. If you want an irish bred strong dog for your greyhound then a working wheaten would be the choice but if your sport is ratting and retrieving keep away from wheatens, there is enough fools already trying hard to ruin the breed in the pursuit of fluffy coats and gay
  2. The thing that lets down a lot of wheaten crosses is that people are using k.c. show bred shite to produce the lurcher.Very few these days have the proper working wheaten lines,if only working lines were used it would be a different story. The show rubbish and the working wheaten have nothing in common.A good well bred wheaten cross is the match of any bull cross but like any cross not everything will make the grade.
  3. i came on one just before christmas two years ago, couldn't believe what i was seeing, unfortunatly the terriers caught it.
  4. dead right and people will actually pay out money for those yokes.
  5. colour makes no odds to work, but it does make a differance to those who pretend working ability is most important when in fact they care more about looks, colour, ear carriage etc.people like that have no business keeping working dogs.
  6. In my opinion all this talk of big cats in U.K. and Ireland is total rubbish. These animals leave tracks, scent and make noise especially when breeding. With all the people in both countries who hunt with hounds, terriers, spaniels and lamp with lurchers, not one example of proof has been shown. And as has been said already if snow leopards can be found and filmed in the remotest corners of the earth and yet no big cats can be filmed here, that surely must tell you silly gullible "believers" THAT YOU ARE WRONG!
  7. i had an english bull/wheaten years ago, good dog but made work noise so wouldn't have made a trial dog,a good dog at his work though.
  8. EPTR will you ever just piss off,a prize wanker is all you are.the shite you talk is beyond belief.TAKE NOTE ANY YOUNG LADS WANTING TO START OFF IN WORKING TERRIERS,DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS CLOWN,HE SELLS OVERPRICED RUBBISH AND RELYS ON YOUNG INEXPERIENCED LADS TO LINE HIS POCKETS AS NO GENUINE MAN WOULD LISTEN TO HIS CRAP.
  9. Wait till september, give young cubs a break, and shooting foxes is no sport, running them with a lurcher in the winter is.
  10. i cant see that fcukin eejit converting many irish lads to plummers ha ha.genuine lads here dont respect plummers or clowns like him.
  11. anybody who keeps lots of dogs will get the odd fight, its always happened and always will, its not the end of the world.
  12. when im starting a terrier,I try to stack everything in its favour(at first),hence the 2 dogs,i wouldnt let a terrier to ground with a dog its not used of.dogs eat the arse off another dog because they want to ,not because they cant see etc.If you were training a youngfella to box,you wouldnt put him with mike tyson in his first bout, you dont have to be in a car crash to be a good driver. no young dog worth its salt needs to be doubled up,those that do have no place with me.i think you are on a losing battle trying to persuade experienced digging men that plummers make reliable, single hand
  13. no didn't ring about them, you mentioned your ad previously so i looked it up.what about the bitch in the ad,very clean for a worker, same for the pups mother.
  14. is the adult bitch doing any bit?she looks very fresh around the head. Shes seen a bit, killed a fox in a drain in short order 2 weeks after those photos were taken,I bred her, but she was out of my hands until she was 13 months didnt enter till she was maybe 18 months and has been dug to a dozen or so times since.THe pups off her are f2s i.e 3/4 plummer 1/4 pitbull.with that breeding i did i was chasing the bitches dam(R.I>P) who was the gamest ive seen(well in the top 2)-shes both grandmothers of the pups so you had a dozen digs with her and then bred her?plummers are poor en

  17. no genuine digging man keeps plummers.even the few that attempt to work don't stick the pace.they are not workers.a working dog worth keeping will stay on game as long as it takes working hard the whole time weather its a sounder or a hard dog.plummers dont deserve respect as a digging dog and anybody who will spend big money on one are only lining the pockets of the muppets who churn them out.
  18. all the well bred pups are always booked up before they're born.
  19. fella i know put two glens and an english bull in the one run overnight.in the morning the glens had killed and eaten a good part of the english bull and he seemed suprised about it.
  20. too many wheaten based lurchers these days are being bred from k.c. reg useless fluffy bags of shite as has been said already.few enough people have access to proper working wheatens these days, but a good wheaten cross out of proper stuff will take some beating as a fox dog and a good wheaten cross has everything any bull cross has.a proper working wheaten is a world apart from those powder puff wasters on the show benches.
  21. most of the best working dogs have no interest in fighting, but she is only a pup, good chance she will settle down with age and work.
