  1. Zippy and bungle went to the jungle having alot of fun, zippy got silly then cut off his willy and shoved it up bungles bum!
  2. After alot of nagging i finally got myself a lurcher pup. He is a 5 month old saluki grey. Had him for nealy a month now and really pleased with him. This is the first dog ive ever properly owned and I was amazed at how easy to train he is! W've mastered sitand lay down, recall isnt perfect just yet but its still pretty good and we've just started on retrieve. One of my better decisions. Expect lots of questions
  3. When the weather gets really cold mine get a few old towels. Other than that, shavings. I found shredded paper doesn't absorb sh1t and p1ss as well as shavings and paper locks together so you have to empty the lot out rather than just scoop out the sh1t.
  4. Maybe mate, we bolted a stoat the other day. Would have been fun trying to untangle that from a purse net.
  5. There are two rescues near me, the first one had plastered all over thier website about how they needed donations but when I phoned and asked to adopt one they said no. And the other one wanted to do a home visit and then never called me back. As said, someone on here will probably have a few kits going spare.
  6. Isn't it bad for them if you don't? Build up of oestrogen or something?
  7. you can pic up more than 1 ferret with the mk 1 really? I thought that was just a new thing.
  8. The MK3s are worth the practise once you get used to them. You can pick up more than one ferret too
  9. Deben are the only company I know of that make ferret finders so they can charge what they like if they have little or no competition.
  10. Both have pros and cons mate. Just down to personal preference. Jills are smaller so dont get tangled in nets as much as hobs but can have trouble shifting stubborn bunnies. They smell less than hobs but must be taken out of season each year or spayed. Can live with other jills or castrated hobs all year round. Seem to lay up less. Hobs are bigger so can shift the more stubborn rabbits but will kill and lay up more than a jill. Tangle nets more. They dont need taking out of season and will scrap with other males during breeding season. etc etc etc. I prefer jills and I think most people do
  11. was the orange stuff i was worried about. yer he is entire, i sent you a PM asking how to get them on a PM. i can put them on this thread if u like?
  12. mange, rats tail, old sawdust or mites? it does come off if i rub it but have to rub it fairly hard but doesnt distress ferret so wouldnt have thought it was mange scabs? its only on his tail but my BEW has one or two very small patches on his back aswell as tail. Thanks alot, Aaron.
  13. he is a polecat, ill get a picture up tonight. Cheers boys.
  14. cheers lads, he has lost some hair on his tail but i put that down to the hot weathr as its growing back now. out of interest, if my ferret did have mites can u spot them?
  15. Firstly, one of my ferrets has patches of orange rusty looking stuff on the skin on his tail, any idea what that might be? And secondly, my pup is fine with the ferrets and plays with them but should i get him to take no notice of the ferret like stock breaking or when he matures will he just leave the ferret alone when working. Thanks alot, Aaron.
  16. Best bet is to go with someone and see if you like it before buying all the gear. but if you are addiment, get a ferret finder MK3 (140 on ebay). some nets (11 quid for ten on ebay), ferrets (start mine about 8 months old), ferret box (tenner on ebay), and a spade. think thats everything. set nets over all holes, put ferret in, watch for rabbits to bolt. its not that overly simple but you pick up little tricks after a while, like the best way to set a net so the rabbit doesnt get loose, and to put your foot in a hole that a rabbit has bolted from while you neck it so any other bunnies don't sl
  17. Thats exactly what i said to my mate when she was screaming at us lol. There are hundreds of rabbits over there so its only a matter of time before she comes crying back asking for someone to sort them but all she will get is a big dose off f**k off you manky old tart .
  18. I was tempted to bend her over and give her something to moan about.
  19. I've got permission on her paddock anyway, so as far as the landowner is concerned i can go on there and do what i f*****g like. She only rents it off the farmer, thats what annoyed me, i could have just let myself on and got on but thought id be polite and ask.
  20. Yer, your not wrong there mate. It does annoy me, like the other day I was walking through the local park with the missus and some old dear came up effing and blindin about how we're to old to be in the park (bearing in mind this woman was about ). Worlds gone to shit, everyones out for themselves.
  21. show it the ferret, if it tries to bite it tell your dog no. once your confident your dog wont bite the ferret put them on the floor together and if ya dog gets over excited and starts trying to nip tell it no. eventually they will get on and the dog won't try and kill your ferret. walking your dog passed the cage helps too. thats how i did it anyway and they are alright.
