14 months onwards he's ready to start only you can tell when he's ready. If he's entering and running earths sounds like he just needs to find his quarry. Personally I'd be trying small earths, shallow if possible, artificials. If you do have some luck and meet Charlie. Let the dog settle, get to him as soon as physically possible. Dispatch Charlie and he has his reward. But only you will know when he's ready. Good luck!

Bonne pair mate, glad to hear the doing their job well. The old fella is retired now this was his last dig and a good one at that. He's still all guns blazing but it's only fair on him, when you get to his age and you've only got a few teeth left at the back its only fair.

He's studded quite a bit, some pups are abroad working now. 5feet down off here recently had pups from him. No doubt there will be a few more

Not been on here in a while, Boxing Day jamie2004live and myself took a wonder around a few know places as game birds were going missing. First spot we tried Brock marked Charlie laying in 100% netted up and off he went. Mixed with his game pretty much straight away, ran around for 10 mins or so and our red friend hit the net where he was shot. 2nd spot is a huge place, just walking up to it terrier was screaming and sure enough he marked him laying up again. Does seem a bit tight to be handling, but if you never noticed they usually seem to take hold if a terrier is up close and personal if a terrier sits back it just gets peppered! Get a decent stick put it to old red, with the business end occupied. Pick your moment and get in close and personal! Seen it done many time in tricky situations, got to be fast though!

Is Andrew still hunting them mate? We have permission over the Otterburn Camp accounted for 5 there just last weekend, hounds terriers and gun's! Plenty for them to go at, did they account for any. Its some of the best land in the country for watching the hounds working. Good Photos Chap.

Last season, we done the same earth for weeks upon weeks every sunday, big spot and acoounted for one or more charlie everytime! This season hasnt been to bad either even though other things are taking it over, not without a fight! But charlie have decided the earth about 40 meters away is there new home, thats been a productive one this season!
