firstly i dont think a dog can be judge on one dig but over the course of a season if people offer to bring you out digging there dogs you should be glad and not talking about them or there dogs if your digging that long and you know what you want in a dog its your own fault not to have some top class dogs as for dave hardcombe books i admire what his done for terrierwork and his a gentleman but ther are a lot of good young unknown lads around him digging very good dogs my opinion

Fionn, Thanks for your response and festive good wishes. Once again I feel I have to correct you. At no time was I contacted or did I communicate with anyone regarding the Irish Terrier Federation. I certainly do not recall you or anyone else asking me could they run the show. You may be confusing our organisation with that of Margaret Edgill who ran shows at Birr. I have only been involved in Birr since 2007. Once again I must correct you over your trophy claim. Since I have been involved with terrier & lurcher shows in spite of the difficulty in attracting outside sponsorship we

the time we were trying to get the irish terrier federation up and running ye refuse point blank for us to run the show we put up an information stall at the fair to promote terrier work the spot we were giving was way off beating track and i have proof this took place as shamus will remenber we moved our banner to the side of show ring as one of our members won the show have picture to prove it he reseive a trophy worth 7pound it was three to enter a dog on day now you come out and said you or shamus didnt support any other shows in the south that said it all happy xmas
-
im going to add my opinion anyway up my hole or not tim like you not too fond of the horse brigade but this type of so call hunting is the same as hare coursing capture hare muzzel dog not many on here that wouldnt like to see waterloo foley cup etc back not a lurcherman but likes clonmel every year
-
how many lurcher terrier or hunt shows did you surpport this year in the south none i bet name them and tell me who ran them seamus was a good terrierman a long time ago how many show in south dose he support none and you want us to part with our money to support his club which has only one member him you kept refer to uk when your in birr ur in the center of ireland there a lot of good hunting people in this country which organised shows every year birr is a good family day out but costly i would never bring a dog to show again as the terriers is a disgrace this is my opinion why not try for
-
if the dog sits off not baying hes a peeper he not working his game there not to be refer to as working dogs not underground anyway a mute dog dose his work in selience but working hard
-
firstly birr was not the best terrier or lurcher show in the south of ireland secondly its not the roi championship as its run by seamus erwin mid antrim terrier club no money goes back into field sport in the republic ur running a good fair but dont be trying to butter it up ur making money thats it get a judge from the south of ireland would be a start plus donate money to charity after expences seen how many would turn up to show there dogs then
