    its down to personal opinion, the lake itself, the trout themselves and how predatory the trout in the lake are. we all have our favourites and my favourites are olive damsels, hothead damsels, dancers and fritz etc. i do however love fishing the dry fly as it excellent fun to see the trout emerge and take the fly.

    iv just shot a pigeon on my shed, the pellet hit the pigeon in the chest, through the wing . so i have skinned the pigeon, removed the wing it did'nt hit and the two breasts, anyway, after thoroughly feeling the breasts i cannot feel the pellet and im 99% certain its not in there, after checking the rest of the body i cannot find the pellet . my question to you is, should i or should i not feed it to my bird?????? just noticed, i have wrote "thoroughly feeling the breasts" please no silly remarks

    im goin to pennine trout fishery's any method day and pellet and paste are banned. so, does anyone have any ideas on a killer method for the trout, there are also perch in the lake and i would like to avoid these but understand it will probably be impossible. im planning on colouring sweetcorn brown and flavouring it halibut and also bread (floating). the trout are fed on trout pellets at the water. any help would be appreciated

    went the brdgewater canal last sunday, managed a 6lb pike. it was hard to find clear, fishable areas because of all the leaves, the lures were just covered as soon as they hit the water. To make matters worse the canal boats were out in abundance on the day :[ all in all a good day, liverpool - leeds canal this weekend and pennine any method day the following week
