  3. how many of you's work brittany's? if so post a pic and information, i.e. age, what do you do with him? sex? etc. here is mine, he is two years old, male and works under my hawk. his name is Parabuteos Lad, Teo for short

  5. from now its a he, he's been quite vocal today so he is now in the larson trap to hopefully attract a bird i can use as a call bird. i am not against the killing of magpies, i too have shot plenty, however, i dont see it as the right thing to be killing baby magpies. rabbits too are a pest but killing baby rabbits is frowned upon
  6. he/she is hardly gunna take eggs from an aviery its started to settle now, sits on my finger, calls for food and sits on my shoulder when i walk around the house

  13. today i rescued a magpie chick from my garden, there was no parents in the garden nor is there a nest nearby so do you have any tips for me? should i handle it to get it used to me or just sit by it? im assuming it will feed when it is hungry so ive got some soaked dog bicuits in there for now, please no snide or stupid remarks i will not put it back in the garden as the neighbours have cats, i will not kill it. theres two answers to stupid questions some may have asked. thankyou in advance
  14. how old was she mate? i didnt think they lost there feathers untill they were 1 year old?? because when they 1st get there plumage, about 8 weeks is it? they keep that for a year and then moult for the 1st time? not having a dig mate just putting what ive been told, cheers for the reply mate bought her in september 08, moulted for the first time march 09 she was born in 08 yea so shell be the same then mate, she was bought this year so she wont be moulting till next year, got some feathers so she should be ok now what date did you buy her? when did she hatch?
  15. just ordered a male 3/4 finnish gos i shall be imprinting him and hell be ready in around 25 days. he will be flown at duck, pheasent, rabbit, corvids and anything unfortunate. he is going to set me back £500. i am so excited. so has any one got any images of their goss, from imprinting to hunting and anything else.

  21. if i find a goshawk or sparowhawk breeder il go for one of them, know any in cheshire?

  23. read up on sparrowhawks, their a complicated species, to little food they die, too much food they get a sour crop and can die
  24. yeah, completely possible, if a goshawk has chicks it will take on anything
