  3. Ha ha, maybe I should try listen on headphones before uploading It is a "last bite" tradition quite popular on continent. You honour shot quarry with a "last bite" that you put in boar's or deer's mouth, the second branch is called "a seal" (dont know if that's correct translation...) that goes on to the wound to mark shot placement and the third lightly dipped in blood is called "ownership branch" that you tuck onto your hat. This is more common on driven hunts where all hunters gather after each drive and can see what has been shot, who was successful and see shot placement etc.
  4. To be honest I pulled the trigger as I knew I could count on a friend with a quad bike, otherwise the only way was to take if out from there in a few pieces...
  5. Hi Wullz, did not enjoy the drag. I promised myself not to shoot any more... and shot one a week later some people never learn... Greg

  8. Not sure what you mean by waiting time? It was filmed in Poland, no pigs local to me in Scotland I am afraid... Sorry mate didnt explain myself properly, most people I know sit in highseats for them, and wait into the dark, I usually dont use high seats. I was out in the evening and stayed late till the moon came up. The pigs came out the forestry at about 21:30 (late september).

  10. It was off a combo gun, rifled barrel is chambered in .30-06. I had some shot in case of fox or badger in 12G barrel. Slugs are ok for boar, but usually only used on driven hunts.
