  4. yes the trigger in the picture in the book is drawn wrong. ive just had a good look at the trap that i have in my hand and i can now see where i went wrong.yes you are right, the spring has moved through 90degrees whilst springing, my apologies. Been a long time since ive used the body grip, now use fenns. cheaper and i get on better with them. Taking nothing away from teejaa, still a good bag.
  5. cant help but notice how much your dog looks like mine, except mine is a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie. good looking dog
  6. hi there, just registered myself. you mention you shoot with an air rifle. [bANNED TEXT] make/model do you use. i have a trusted HW 95k that works fine on rabbits 45yrds plus
  7. The conibear trap works by the two square jaws pivoting around their center. So when the spring is compressed, those jaws rotate about the middle 90 degrees, and in the case of the picture they would appear to be vertical (with the spring squished up between them) if the trap were set. Once fired the spring moves outward pushing the jaws together as you see them. I guess the important thing to note is the jaws rotate about an axis going through their middle. take another look at the pic and you will see that the spring is sprung as you said, but, if you look closly it looks to me as if
  8. nice bag. only one question on the pic of the rabbit in the body grip.is it my imagination or is the spring fitted in such a way that it is putting no presure on the arms that grip the rabbit? it just looks differant to the ones that i have used over the years, thier arms grip either side of the spring
