    im not sure why most are asking him to change his walk as i think the answer to the question is in the first line of his question. Its a public footpath and as such he has the freedom granted by the crown to wonder this pathway freely, AS LONG AS HE STAYS UPON SAID FOOTPATH. NO LANDOWNER has the right to restrict passage along any prescribed footpath as long as it is designated PUBLIC FOOTPATH be it a sight of important intrest or not, AS LONG AS YOU STAY ON THE FOOTPATH, AND THAT INCLUDEDS YOUR DOGS just visit the local libary(spelling) and check out the right to roam ruleings

    no i dont know best, far from it in many cases. but what i do know is im sick to my back teath of those with no or very little experiance in long netting telling new comers to the sport that to long net is to back peg. And this is happening more and more on internet sites, dvds and in books, How the hell are filedsports ment to progress if the same old tripe is being banded about in the guise of honest knowledge. As you well know stubby, there have been times when you have gone to the defence of a method when a member has been spouting rubbish as knowledge. As for simply refering all question

    so in plane speaking terms when someone asks how to go ferrting the answer without writting an essay will read..... "buy a ferret, buy a collar (optional) a few nets and stick your stinker down the hole and away you go your ferreting" there you go, how hard is ferreting? no skill in that at all, in fact i think ferreting is a game for mugs with no skill at all

    not wanting to have a go at anyone here, but why when speaking of setting a trad long not does everyone talk about back pegging as if thats the way to set it? doesnt anyone know how to peg as they set? this being the correct way to avoid tangles and picking up debris?

    there is no differance in the netting used for a long net on end pins or one rigged in a basket, other than the poles are held in place on the basket system. so yes they can be rigged in a basket

    Before i start i must make it clear that the following isnt a wind up, nor has it been stagged in anyway what so ever. This wednesday past i had the pleasure of the company of two members from this site. Nothing to serious was planned nor was it expected but a go at a few warrens was on the cards. This is a funny place that i ferret due to the owners handyman being a somewhat of a countrysports know it all. To give you a feel for this man i will simply say that in my presance he said to the landowner "save your money on the moles, insted of paying him (me) i (handyman) will do it for not

    Isnt that the fish thats causing all the fuss regarding if its a large fish thats been brought into this country rather than one thats been farmed over here? heres a few of mine, nothing massive but stiil fun catching them
