  1. no matter what folk on here say your doing the right thing by asking questions, no matter how daft they seem to those with more experiance. we all start somwhere and that includes making mistakes, no ones perfect. get a read of a few books, watch a few dvds then teach yourself whats needed and bin the stuff that doesnt work for you, its the way most folk learn in this day and age of not having someone to show them. you have a few months till the breeding season so you have time to educate yourself
  2. It doesnt matter what size the air chamber is under the gun because your dealing with internal pressure rather than volume. regardless of the tubes size you are taking it to the same pressure when fully charged
  3. sorry to hear about your father, but keep your chin up. as someone who has suffered a stroke 3yrs ago at the age of 33 and was left with speach probs i can understand the inner frustrations he must be feeling. Like i was told at the time it can and often does get better with a little rehab and speach therapy. try keep you chin up buddy and if you would like to contact me via a pm i can give you some contacts for family members whos loved ones have had a stroke. they helped me and my family no end. i would only be to glad to pass on their details. wishing you and your family a better start
  4. I can vouch that when Al says its in good nick its in good nick after having dealings with him in the past, top bloke PS. Al i do accept pay pal if you dont want to send me a fiver in the post
  5. once again the boxing day meet with the suffolk harriers was a well turned out event, both by the riders and the supporters as well. more supporters this year than i have seen in years past. It was a good natured meet with out the masses of the great unwashed being in attendance. thought i would just post a few pics. it was nice to see the horses turned out in a smart way as were the hounds and at the end of the line of horses was this little fellow, a real gent to be by the look of him I hope this meet as well as others around the country try their best to
  6. your net is set way to high and it has no belly in it and also from the pics it looks as though you have no running kill in it, stretched it to tight length ways. it might just be the pics but shorten the net if theres no running kill in it and deffo drop the hight .
  7. had 9 mths in cast and re-hab after shearing off my ankle ball joint so i know how you feel. take your time and it will soon get better. had a day at our local meet and a few beers today. posting it later when more sober wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery
  8. interesting thread as i was thinking of getting a 410 for shooting close in over the ferrets, sounds like a gun to consider would you say?
  9. NOT SUGGESTING FOR ONE MOMENT THAT MIKE THE DOG HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.... but i fecking hate it when folk mess about with my trap lines, doesnt happen that much but when it does........
  10. take the credit man, i wont tell the real marksman (whoever it was)
  11. Hello mr oldroyd, i was wondering how wide your net is in that top picture because if you look carefully you can see the net trailing on the floor through your legs. do you not find that your forever standing on it whilst setting it? I bet with a coat that size you can carry plenty of nets, at least 200yrds i would have thought if not more
  12. stu, with replys like this mate your making it worse for yourself
  13. Oh come on netrigger not you as well taking the pish out of a sotheren softy. but take another look at the top pic, CONVERSATION BETWEEN STU AND FERRET GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS. stu, '' oh go on just a little kiss, it is christmas you know"" ferret '' id do anything for love, but i [bANNED TEXT] do that " stu " OH PLEASE, CANT YOU SEE IM BEGGING YOU?"" ferret "" no way man, ive seen what youve done to those poor rabbits"" Leon " best i put my gloves on, this is going to get messy"" and what you dont see then is best kept secret, but if you look at the 3rd pic im sure i coul
  14. Fox dropper, to true what you say about not giving in, i couldnt agree more and i hope you realise that your pic was only chosen to aid in showing my point and not because of the pic itself. and yes your right why shouldnt we be proud of what we do? but like i said when i first posted this thread it was just about what mistruths are being said by others. Fishfish, i wouldnt call what has been said on this thread an argument, more of an open debate, if you read it again you will see there is no personal digs throughout it at all and that is the good thing about a debate forum such as this,
  15. so thats where that missing ferret went, wondered why i was limping and before anyone can say anything, that isnt a nappy poking over the top of my trousers, its my white t-shirt glad you had a good day leon, good to see new comers getting out there and doing it rather than justs reading about it.

  20. i dont know about you folks but ive noticed the increase in adverts on telly for STD's. I also noticed that Dunlop and Durex have got together on this and brought out an xmas condom for gays. Its being sold as the 4x4 condom, its got a deeper ribbing and gives better traction in the mud HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL YOU FOLKS ON HERE, HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY AND A BLINDING NEW YEAR regards molecatcher
  21. Peter Sutcliff the yorkshire ripper
  22. same to you jasper, may you have plenty of this
  23. tell him to knit his own the fussy bugger to stop the smooth nylon slipping you could double up the twine
  24. DID YOU KNOW? elephants use sheep as tampons why do elephants have long trunks? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . because sheep dont have little blue withdraw strings attached to them
  25. it stands to reason that having a basket and 22 poles is going to be heavy for 100yrds of net, let alone a few hundred yrds. this is why the baskets i have made and sold are lighter in their build as well as being made from a jig that allows you to use one back and carry upto 3 baskets. as for a trolly would that not be more of a hassle on the rough ground that we have to cover? another reason why i use hazle, nice and light. dont you use the trad set nets?
