  1. the new rules of the site are you can only advertise your for sale items if you are a donator. these new rules came into being on the 10.01.08. the rules are clearly posted at the top of the for sale boards
  2. Im prety sure by now that the magnum trap company will know of this problem, as i would put a bet on a person with ties to them has read this and passed it on to them making them aware.
  3. 6MM BRAID BLOODY HELL ive seen many nets rigged a few yrs back with black running lines. it wanst braid it was a polyetherleen(?) and they were bloody awful
  4. Isnt 3mm braid still a little on the thick side for a long net? i use both 1.5mm and 2mm and both work very well as keeping the weight down a little.
  5. not easy to describe on a flat screen but spread the net over your knees and imagine where the mesh twin should go and join the dots so to speak. you will need to cut out the damaged twine to do a neat job. OR...... screw 2 hooks into the shed wall, hang the net from these so its tight and it will leave both hands free to work as well as keep the net tight so you can see what your doing
  6. OF COURSE, IVE GOT IT THE WRONG WAY ROUND taking into acount muzzle energy and all that business......well spotted
  7. MOLLY..sort out what the good cause will be and my company THE NET LOFT will gladly donate a doz hand made hemp nets pm me with whatever you decide to do
  8. just a matter of swapping the barrels over MAKE SURE YOU GET IT CRONGRAPHED AS IT MAY BE A TAD NEAR THE LIMIT AFTERWARDS
  9. IAN B IMHO its a bad way for the owner of a site such as this to get pissed come on here with his stinking hang over beer breath then use my name in vain. AND YOU MOLE TRAPPER, YOUR JUST A TROUBLE MAKER YOU ARE god i wish these folk on here wouldnt keep confusing me (MC) and that ugly bloke (MT) IM THE GOOD LOOKING ONE THAT SPEAKS THE QUEENS ENGLISH (SOMETIMES) HOPE YOUR HEAD WAS HURTING BADLY
  10. I havnt got any pics of the system i use but i will try and get some soon
  11. im glad im not the only one whos not bothered by the colour of my nets. a while back there was a heated debate between myself and another person regarding net colour, those jade green nets inperticular. like i said in my first reply, follow the simple instructions and you wont go wrong. as we speak i have a new longnet being dyed for the customer, hand made, 2tone net. green and brown. made in nice 10/6spun nylon, will be a good killing net
  12. YES YOU CAN DYE NYLON NETS go to woolworths and you will see they do a dye called dylon. little round tub about the size of a 50p. just follow the easy instructions. REMEMBER YOU WONT GET A TRUE COLOUR AS THE COULOR OF THE NET WILL EFFECT IT. remember at school, blue + yellow make green and all that arty stuff ive dyed loads of nets over the yrs
  13. BUT WHAT IF IM LIXDISTIC...???????????????????
  14. I had a long chat with john5 the other night at about 2am in the morning and he came across as a very genuine bloke and he has offered me a meet up seeing as i live an hours drive from the wash. all i have to do now is sort it out with him. what i also found almost comforting in his manner was his passion for his sport. this it seems is only outweighed by his knowledge. Ps, John, give me a call and i willl sort you out with your digs when you fancy a trip out this way
  15. get yourselves a roll of damp course that builders use, turn it on its side and support with short hazle sticks. hard as nails and the rats cant climb it. its just a plastic membrain about 20inch wide and forms a wall that the rats run along rather that try to climb over.
  16. Air arms diablo field never let me down, bang on pellet after pellet
  17. dont look like girls from cromer to me, not a crab in site as far as i can see
  18. more of a characteristic of hemp when new i should imagine, neither a good or bad thing unless you want to carry it out of sight in a pocket. once used a few times im sure it will hang diferantly, still a good net though, not wanting to take anything away from it i admire anyone able to stick it out and make a net, i know how much it takes to do any length of net, well done.
  19. there dosnt seem to be any running kill(bagging) in that net. Devvo, for every yrd of length on the running lines you will need to have 2 yrds of netting, this will give you that all important LOOSE netting that holds the rabbits if you look at this pic of a net i made you will see all the running kill(bagging) gathered up in the middle of a 5yrd length of net, this has been gathered for the pic. now if you look at yours it seems to be like a tennis net
  20. Back to bounce's again......i had one also Rolfey. i was about 10 when my mate hit me over the head with his sisters space hopper and knocked me clean out god i thought i had forgotten all about that day
  21. i was talking to my gun shop owner about the JSB pellets and he was telling me there the people that make the castings for the AA fields and that they are the same as a AA field but with a slightly larger head, being a 5.5 insted of the AA being a 5.35. i put a few across the micrometer and guess what? he seems correct. I find the JSB a very good pellet and stop what they hit
  22. looks very nicely done those hemp nets bellow out a bit compared to spun nylon nets when on the end pins.
