  1. just being a teenager she will grow out if it, just make sure any training you do with her is repeated til she gets it right, don't let her learn to do things halfarsed, smaller training sessions work better than drawn out lectures think back to when you was at school
  2. kia kaha wales.....your new zealand brothers share your joy
  3. take it to a vet and get it docked, like they should be....bleeding tails will just keep getting split open and never really heal.
  4. Sire : BIS SH CH midtlias c-hagar the horrible (imp nor) Dam : hapsberg aphrodite, grandmother is bareve bred. here are the parents gary. no worries fjager be happy to help....you are wise to do your homework and not to rush in.
  5. what are the chances this uk dog came from the same sire as the mustwork lines and to a bitch called fraya but not the same fraya as mustworks bitch....the dam of the sire is from bareve lines, i think mustworks fraya is from kimmax lines yeah they are my dogs on the ozzie site. in your post you have identified the end results of uncontrolled breeding mate, the gsp used to be stable and of a very high working standard both in oz and nz, due to it's popularity it got the arse bred out of it by hunters cashing in and breeding cheaper versions, i don't like using the term backyard breeding
  6. the gwp in both oz and nz has been bred away from any sort of controlled breeding both in temp/hunting strengths and conformation, there are many different types of gwp downunder some good, some awesome and alot that are just nut cases, the fact that most are related in some way makes trying to bred a correct one with a good working temp even harder, like pigdog breeding, breeding good worker to good worker is how the gwp became the allrounder it is. the coat is important as there are certain rules a breeder must follow when breeding in it's homeland, incorrect coats, conformation or average hu
  7. i did enquire to mustwork about semen but they didn't sound interested, so finding this stud in oz was the best, i'm not wasting the fresh blood as it's going over my main bitch and also i may use him over my young bitch pup who is used on pigs/deer alot so the working side is my only reason for breeding on, the aussie owner will be getting a pup shipped over and the mustwork blood will not get used on any new zealand bred gwp's apart from my own line
  8. yeah sounds like the dog is very even tempered and and has a good coat that will tidy up the breed down under, i need to check him out in person hence the aussie trip, the norwegian blood he carries is a bonus and he's out of a mustwork bitch fraya. it should compliment my own dogs well as i have danish hunting blood in the wings to go over a bitch pup of his in the future. i live about two hours noth of new plymouth, a place called kawhia which your mate will have fish around i'm sure.
  9. the pup was imported from aussie and i seen the pup at a natural ability test here in nz. it was sired by the same bloodlines as mustwork. i'm off to oz to veiw the sire in a month or so. prince of geats to wittekinde. time really is not important allgame so long as you give the pup a chance to grow into the job.
  10. there are a few breeders in melbourne, i'm sending some of my line over there in the future to a breeder to supply working stock to the deerstalkers, there is a very good dog from garypco's mates mustwork kennel as well which i have seen a young dog at the natural ability tests and i was impressed with his easy going nature, i can give you some contacts if you want, there's a breeder in brisbane might be a good to get a pup from her as she has a recent american import that is graded master hunter.
  11. i have a 30td 4x4 03 model and can get 800km easy out of a tank, cost about 85 kiwi dollars to fill- about 30 pounds .......and it's clocked up high kms without a problem
  12. a gwp mate....... shop around and find one from a good breeder, [bANNED TEXT] part of oz are you? forget the vizsla they are marshmellows. sadly the gsp has gone backwards in nz and oz, there are not many easy going ones around, most need oil due to the whining and are very hypo.
  13. if your bitch has a 6 monthly cycle, and has had a litter expect a heat 4-6 months after the pups have whelped, most bitches being female keep very good track of time
  14. a 280 is a sound caliber or a 7mm08. plenty of rifles are chambered for 6.5 swede, sako, tikka, ruger. you would be suprised how many hunters have had bad experiences with the 270 on deer
  15. the 6.5 is an awesome caliber, with a long pedigree on the range a 260 is pretty similar too. thousands of swedish mausers where sold in aussie and new zealand so plenty of 6.5's get used down here. 270 vs 2506 i hate the 270 myself,it boots, it's loud, overated and can be a poor performer on game in my experience. the 2506 is a pup and just a beefed up 243, awesome for fallow and reds as it allows you to take neck or head shoots like a 223 or 243. it also works well for long range varmits too.
  16. yep they are still designed and made here, top gear, i got the one tuff mutha jacket and my mates got the one tuff brotha......the thar annorack is my next jacket for the high country.
  17. good work, great to see they are increasing enough for you guys to start hunting them often. just a question do you still stick them to bleed them out after shooting them? and i wouldn't bother hanging them for a week til you process them, they are not deer, a few hours in the chiller and they can be butchered.
  18. mate, if you can find an older swannie they are a new zealand icon. as much as it pains me to say this though the swandri is now made in china and i would not advise buying any swanndri product, they shut down the new zealand factories and shipped it all off shore, global marketing and cheaper labour cost they reckon, bullshit they try and sell the brand with pictures of our mountains and outdoors images but they are pumped out of a chinese sweatshop. support the kiwi workers that got shafted by giving swanndri the big
  19. retreiving ducks or geese is a pretty simple job, most labs or spaniels can do the job with ease, for me though there is only one breed ducks, geese, swan piece of piss.
  20. try the working hpr forum mate there are a few munsty owners on there.
  21. find bail or hold, they can do everything a normal pigdog can...using them as pigdogs can affect there steadyness on other game as the hunting styles are different.
  22. there lines one side go right back to the matravers,uk and the other side is german dd based. few more at 10mths............. pighunting little pig slightly bigger one bunny watching
  23. you should be able to get them over there.........they are cheap here and usally come with free bino's or a handheld gps...i bough one a few years back, does the job but i found out they are made in china now so i wouldn't buy another one, i have a few older u/s made burris scopes and they are awesome. buy the german scope mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. i think you will like the t3, bloody honest rifles
  25. go the t3, ive just ordered another one in 2506.
