  1. good shooting mate but just a quick note, pigs don't sweat
  2. just adding my two cents, [bANNED TEXT] an awesome trophy mate can't really make sense of [bANNED TEXT] all the other shits about but the taking of the roe buck is a great start to ya hunting career. getting blood n guts on ya is part of hunting and i'd get laughed at if i pulled out rubber gloves to gut an animal :11:
  3. they are pig lice, most pigs have them over here bit like fleas on a dog. pigs in poor condition can be infested quite bad with them. real nice feeling carring out a pig and having them crawl down ya neck they don't infect dogs or humans and come out in the wash, they soon jump off or die once the pig is dead and cold.
  4. and they were full of these little hitchhikers
  5. couple of good eating pigs caught last nite on the full moon, pup went really well bailed then held on the first one then helped the other dogs out on the second, even took the boxer out for a run and she got stuck in too, sorry no dogs on pig shot but it was not the best for pics
  6. for me it's benelli best auto's ever made bloody cost alot more than remington almost twice the cost in fact but still worth the money. like an o/u for clays though auto's are for hunting.
  7. quite amazed you guys can get once where warriors over there hawkeye!!!!! the pighunting scene in what becomes of the broken hearted was pretty staged once the pig was shot lol, the pig they were chasing was a tame boar used for training pigdogs at a dog training operation.
  8. who's sweet talking anyone :11: it's not rockets science the bigger the cal the bigger the noise, we don't have an issue with the noise factor here, hundreds of thousands of deer have fallen to the hornet and .222 in nz and millions more goats have been tipped over as well the fact they can do the job in the right hands is not in question, i was trying to point out that the treble is slowly been succeeded by the .223, everywhere else it seems but in scotland, we have a good indication on cals here as we tend to shoot alot more deer in large numbers, the govt cullers started out using the stand
  9. i have had the walnut deluxe job for twenty years now great little gun have shot every thing from mice to reds with it, have had about six scopes on it in it's life time but it's had a 4x leupold and laser for the last few years now and slip on silencer for the subs. it looks no where near like those volquartsens they look shit hot mate!
  10. ya got things a bit back to front deerstalker the different twists in the barrel still shot the standard 55gr to the same point it,s just that the standard, 1:16 i think don't like the 64-70gr. firing the 50gr bullet the .222 is the benchmark from which the hotshot .22 calibres started, 223,22.250 etc but before that the hornet was and still is a handy little round. 10% increase in recoil :11: they don't kick mate and the noise factor can be controlled just like a treble, no one here is knocking the round just that it has lost ground to the more popular .223 for various reasons cheaper ammo i
  11. great work mate how much does it cost to buy a finished rabbit? sure if you hunters could sell them to those potlicking greenies/anti's folk ya wouldn't have half the trouble once they are educated on the organgic and healthy meat they produce, rather a head shot bunnie than a steriod feed chook anyday
  12. yeah p&g the 10% plus does make a difference if ya want to use the 64 gr bullets and the 223 usally has a choice of barrel twists, but to be honest a treble is gonna do the same job with a 50 gr as a 223 is with a 55gr on 95% of varmits, that extra 10% just gives ya room to play with the lighter and heaiver grain bullets. i used to load the 40-45gr in my old sako vixen and that thing was dynamite on rabbits
  13. i agree the treble 2 is a great calibre, but i would get a 223 it has just a little bit more power and handles the heavier bullets alot better. not many rifle makers chamber for the 222 nowadays too. the new 204 might be worth a look too.
  14. yeah the little rugers are fussy on ammo,i use winchester power point and winchester subs and have no problems, so long as i give it a clean now and again. had no luck with stingers and yellow jackets sprayed them all over the place.
  15. have you ever asked a vet about giving a canine asprin molly? to kill a cat it only takes three tablets crushed up in some mince over two days, i pretty sure the dosage for a dog is not much more, something to do with eating out the lining of the tummy. had a mate that lost a dog when his young daughter threw a box of disprin out the window and the dog found it.
  16. good shooting foxy [bANNED TEXT] do ya do with all the deer ya shoot, ya seem to deck a heap of them.
  17. sorry to hear it mate! we all have that gremlin hanging over us when we walk out the door when hunting it's part of the life we chose, you done the right thing by her and she went out doing [bANNED TEXT] she was born and bred to do. kia kaha bro.

  20. fair enough i suppose :11: can really see the difference between our two countries now have no problems showing the my ugly mug doing wots perfectly normal and part of our culture here i have nuffing to hide and think it sux that the anti brigade forces normal guys to look like IRA recruits. can remmber watching a young fella in brisbane looking like he was buying a porn because he was buying a bacon busters mag once
  21. horses can be train to carry pigs, an old trick is to tie the pig to it's tail and drag it out.
  22. keep ya dogs fed for awhile mate!!!!!!!! why black out ya face dude we already know [bANNED TEXT] ya look like and shooting roo's is not illegal is it lol

  24. if ya can get the horse in to the bush ya can, but piggy backing them out is the norm in nz
