    NAMES OF BITCH'S

tui, pronounced too e, a nz bird and maori for beer
  2. as a purebred they have been tried and found wanting shane, plenty been used in oz and in breeding x breds. like most american breeds the yanks think they have the best breeds in the world, the dogo is a world apart and the boardog el primo, i have owned both breeds. yeah l/l jades built quite well and has plenty of go, not great in the brain department as she tries to lord it over my gwp's and comes off second best everytime, she has been on a few pigs and has no fear in that department, always got her noise to the ground and will back up when the wires point anything, i call her my gsp, ge
  3. jess found her voice on the hunt and is now living down the south island yes the scott or standard ambull is the hunting lines, but they don't actually do the hunting on hogs, they are walked on leads til the finders/strike dogs do there job and are released to hold the boar then, so they haven't got that natural hunting urge or no more than a normal dog at least. the dogo is taller and more mobile than the ambull, sort of like a great dane compared to a bullmastiff, and unlike the ambull the dogo does the whole job, finds bails and holds. here's jade anyway
  4. i have a ambull, great pet but not much in the hunting department, my boxer has more game sense. macks a 52kg white lump of useless, i got him after my dogo and expected great thing from him but he never had the urge and his size made him noisy and slow in the bush, he's johnsonx scott.
  5. staffs, bull mastiffs, english b/t,bulldog, all these breeds have been used for generations before the pit showed up. nz followed the uk in regards to breeds that are banned, pits, tosa's,fila and the poor dogo. there are plenty still here as the ban is only a few years old. the english bull breeds are the best, just because they don't have the dogfighting preydrive like the pit don't make them any harder than a well bred english staff on pigs.
  6. get a bloody gwp, don't piss around with those little bugga's.

    joke

A conductor on a train in the States became a legend when he pulled the buzzer for the train to take off while people were still getting on. One person was killed when the wheels and over her and squashed her all to shit. The conductor was tried and found guilty for murder, which all his friends thought was a tad over the top. Manslaugther may be, murder, hell no. He was sentenced to be executed in the electric chair. When he was strapped the executioner asked him if he had any last requests. Lookiing across the table he noted that the executioner had a green banana and asked for that. While

  10. no don't rate the pitbull at all, over rated, over bred, over aggressive and over here. the british bull breeds are far more user friendly and don't carry the public's hatred, shit wait til clinton reads this lol. it's the type of owner the pitbull attracts not the breed itself, but we have only ever had 3 dog deaths in nz and they where all by pitbulls and laws where passed that included the dogo, an innocent breed in my opinion so i will always hate the pit breed for what it has done to the dogo in nz, i owned a dogo bitch at the time of the first public outrage when a five year old girl had he
  11. love the dogo, a breed with a full pighunting pedigree and awesome nature, my mate up the east coast still runs one a little bit big for nz bush but they are capable of doing the job in our thick scrub. the dogo would have taken the aussie scene by force i reckon, the placement of the breed wrongly as a fighting breed and the insult of being classed as a type of pit bulll was the death of a great breed downunder. they are in oz but all ex nz bloodlines and that blood is pretty inbred now, crossing them don't help the future of the breed but they add alot to any pigdog line.a great breed more

    The Dogs Bollocks

getting your dog or bitch fixed molly can affect your dogs whole take on hunting, i would never own a dog thats been fixed. they where born to be dogs or bitches not steers, having that possible hormone inbalance is something i'd rather not deal with. for controling the dog population it works very well but for hunting dogs it's not for me.

    what percentage

i have a bit from our pighunting site all about this and will copy and paste it when i find it, but it goes right into the subject gene wise, the points i agree with is the bitch is far more important than the male as she puts in 3/4 of the breeding, males are x/y and females are x/x the y gene is basically rubbish and brings nothing to the mix. the general rule of thumb i have always been taught is the strenght of a line or kennel is in it's bitches, get a good working bitch over a average dog and the pups will be pretty good, put a poor bitch over a good dog and you are gonna get poor result
  16. lol i just reread ya thread and seen it after i edited my post.
  17. take the bar and chain off and look for a screw adjustment with a + or - on each side,or it might be underneath the saw.
  18. i never feed pork, wild or tame to my dogs it goes right through them and they get bugga all out of it, it's ok if ya just low on tucker but as an ex butcher i've seen the burns ya get from cutting up tame pork and you can keep the shit. feeding pig heads to ya dogs can be the worse part, all the glands and the risk of ya dog breaking a canie on the pig teeth is something to consider.
  19. could be more the incoming sika herd has not matured enough to oust the resident red stags, who may have a bit more fight in them than the common windsor blood, in any case you guys need to get in there and start culling those japs out.

    The Dogs Bollocks

having two normal nuts is part of a judges way of seeing the dog is free from the hereditary fault of cypt and monorchid, undesended nuts pose the risk of cancer and are removed for health reasons, it's a breed fault like hip displacia and should never be bred or shown, i don't see it as being unfair at all.
  21. thanks for the update, we have millions of them aussie traps and a few kiwi made jobs in nz, as a kid trapping possums was how i got my pocket money and running a trap line was serious shit to a 9 year old, use the victor 1inch and 1 1/2 inch as you can carry more around in the bush now but the old gin trap still does the job, and the best trap for dealing with rats i might add.
  22. used gins for years, they are good traps if used in the right hands.. you traps collecters got any lanes ace gins?
  23. don't agree with baiting any animal but i enjoyed the pic's of the jagd's, look like mini gwp's but i hear thats [bANNED TEXT] the germans where thinking when they created the breed. agree with nelsons comments by the way. don't agree with baiting any animal but i enjoyed the pic's of the jagd's, look like mini gwp's but i hear thats what the germans where thinking when they created the breed. agree with nelsons comments by the way.
