  1. Fair play maybe i did jump down your throat a little mate sorry . In reality though a glance at the pictures should be enough for any dog man to know the pup is way to young to be anywhere near ready for even entering ? to many people on here ask silly questions does it work to ground and whats it like ..... We are on a public forum and our country has laws to the way we can and cant work our dogs so is this realy the place to be asking such a question in the first place .
  2. We black an tan terrier didnt do much bar batter his way bout the local whins daily . Second was a whippet i spoted in local free ads at 12 while ferretin called the chap left the ferrets wi my mates picked her up and never looked back still look at piks yet and wish i could replace her
  3. Cheers paula sure ill be seing you in the near future . Hope the boys are all well.

No ilesey she's just a whippet 18" she looks smaller in the picture a mate has her sister and she is barely 17"

  4. 12 week old has he been to ground haha does that pup seriously look old enough to even get a proper look at a dead un come on. I the yorkie is fair coming on strong stuff . May i ask why choose this specific breed as his pet ?
  5. A broken toe is a simple injury have the toe of and the dog will still run the same i know a few lads who have handy bullxs with toe's missing also plenty decent greyhounds still going with a toe of so the bitch deserves a bit more than just kennel space as a brood bitch. If the bitch is in season she can and will be coverable whether there was 6 months or 6 weeks between her seasons .
  6. Cracking example if i had the money id be very interested in that , Be an ideal rabbiting and racing companion for someone.
  7. 22 and 23" whippets are above standard so why anyone would want a 22 or 23" whippet is beyond me aswell with a lurcher then. Depends the type of land you run and what you aim to catch for a ferreting dog a decent whippet is more than suitable they also lamp well on decent ground but can be a little less usefull on sertain places due to there line of vision i personaly go for whippet everytime but i mainly ferret and all i ever run is rabbits i also have plenty shooting permision so all i need from my dogs is a ferreter and the odd nite on the lamp
  8. Youtube mate plenty vidio's of vets doing it etc all you needs a new set of cuticle scissors tcp or a powder anticeptic just type it on youtube bud i learnt myself with my first litter of kc whippets and done a better job than the idiots that done the stud i used and alot of others iv seen main thing is dont be scared to go close as if you dont go close enough they could grow patrialy back. If you cant find anything on youtube ill write out fully in a pm.
  9. I didnt think he was planning on covering her himself haha but ya never know i suppose we say im having the bitch covered or im covering the bitch up here maybe picked me up wrong. Either way ill have left prity much 2 year between my bitchs last litter which was her first and her next one that will be her last and iv had 3 or 4 boys waiting since she was last on heat but i decided id rather get the seasons work out her than the litter at the time just cause a couple people wanted pups wasnt enough for me i breed mine when im ready and certainly not with a couple months between litters .
  10. Pups looking well mate . I always have the dew claws of at a couple of days old piece of piss once you see it done a on a couple pups its easy stuff and saves alot of hastle in later years. Sire looks a fair lump of a dog like , Had crush up the hills today she is certainly getting better at turning and she has some muscle on her for a damn pup if she dont stop at 23" ill just need to get the hack saw to her lol (Joke). Im not to fussy about size longs she humps paddy bob hahaha not that she has a hope in hell at that but nah main this is i can get a few runs with her at the racing and she wil
  11. To be fair any child that hangs of a dogs ears is yes a twat and if i ever caught any of mine at it id twat there fafin lug. What i meant is the likely home for a dog of a homing centre is by a fire with anoying uneducated children like this country is full of and in my eyes a dog reared for work with children reared without respect is an accident waiting to happen ! The lad wants a working home let him rehome his dog as he pleases im sure if he had come on saying he had put his dog to a rescue centre everyone and there dug would have had somethin to say about it and none of them would ha
  12. Mind alot of our coastlines are a no no for eating things from as alot are highly poluted
  13. Seen many bitchs like this also had a couple of dogs that were in heat every 3 months or so. The last thing id even consider the thought of is covering the bitch !!
  14. Clowns!! regardless what some of the twats on here are like any idiot even considering putin a working bred dog to a recue centre to be rehomed is in the wrong bloody game. Big strong bullx raised to work they decide to cut its nacks of and home it with a ned and his 3 twat kids that pull poor dogs ears all day every day one day the dog sticks its finger up and is pts and one of the twat children is minus a lug and half its face ..... Just one of the many accidents that could come from rehoming him down that road!
  15. gesus this was my problem here ffs the dogs a bloody pup and an over grown one at that yet everyones giving the aw its oo it were an accident christ if my bitch had been caught by mistake last year when she broke down it wouldnt have mattered if it were a 10 year old veteren i used id have been slated to death. My problem with the line is as a breed whippet owners should be trying to keep to breed standard at least not boasting and breeding 23" dogs be realistic here how old is the breed if they were meant to be 23" they would have been long afore now theres plenty 23" lurchers out there witho
  16. Now am the bad c**t ??? lol look at his other thread the bitch has only just come of her last bloody litter you clown so back in your box! it were no accident and ill bet money im not the only one with a wealth of experience that thinks the same ! i couldnt give a toss tbh but if i sent my bitch round me mates out the road and his pups of identicle lines jamp on its back regardless of the fact its well over the breed standard so shouldnt ever be bred from anyway in my eyes id have knocked every tooth in the idiots muth out marched him and my bitch to the vets and had him pay for the clearing o
  17. She's bang on 19" now mate kinda leveled out and stuck there for a few weeks now im hopefull she dont grow over 23" as id need to adjust my kennels to suit anything over that. Unsure on weight ill need to get her on the skales though she is tightning up and well muscled now so ill weigh her tmz. any fresh piks of yours vld
  18. Says it all sires a pup both dogs out sooty sam and lord of the night lines and would you believe it the sires 2" above the breed standard .... Fare enough it was an accident but im sure after he realised he could have got the bitch cleaned out for you as i cant see why anyone would breed from out of standard stock regardless of how they work especialy an unproven dog at that. But no doubt aslong as theres a bit sooty sam and lord of the night on there card ....
  19. Its not hard to tell who her sire is anyways she is his double , The mrs had her today and i sliped my fawn bitch on a rabbit about 30 yards into a feild we were about the same away and did crush not bloody slip the lead on the mrs. Well she opened up for the first time and pissed all over my wee fawn bitch neither got the bunny but was good to see just how fast she is starting to get glad she has a1 recall as i just gave her a whistle and she come in and after a check over was fine and dandy. Mrs still had a 45 minute ear battering for her incompetint handeling lol. I also had her of for a sh
  20. I agree 100% about standing about wet but tbh i never expect mine to be stood aroung wet i always dry them down i wouldnt like to be drenched and standing about myself that would be the only time i have a bit thought in the back of my head that ill get them dry as soons im back at the car mainly to prevent them picking up a chill and getting any sort of problems and time of due to it. So for working in the rain regularly and not from a vehacle id have a small halfx collie or beddy . It does baffle me though what point anyone see's in a smooth coated 3/4 or 5/8 beddy whipp or collie whip cause
  21. Agree , Realisticaly a champ wont necisarily be sired by a champ or produce one. Yes a champ will throw faster pups than the averege racer ill chuck a few links on the now to some of the champs up here some nice fast dogs.
  22. People are all hung up on this whippets are soft dogs that hate the cold and injure easily , Iv had 10 or more from various lines all worked rain hail or shine day and nite kenneled happily without heating all year round. It infact baffle's me what people think the small lurchers have that a whippet doesnt a whippet is smart , fast , agile and bidable with plenty fire in there belly iv worked and owned various whippet based lurchers under 21" and in my eye's none of the x's were any better than a good whippet as rabbiting dogs.
  23. Iv said it before and ill say it again no whippet regardles of its breeding shivers if they are kenneled from pups and out every day in the weather. Kennel kept dogs naturaly grow a thicker coat in the winter than a house kept.
  24. Always had whippets and there more than able rabbiting companions . Check your local papers etc free ads or epupz plenty decent litters around research a bit on pedigree's and chose a line that suits you.
  25. Dont see the need for suppliments tbh , the dogs bred for a purpose and with the correct conditioning and work there shouldnt be any need for them.
