does being spoilt effect the way the dog works
fresh earth replied to ebony1's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Seen dogs in and out out all the dogs i go out with all are kept outside barr one my best mates bitch he has 3 out 1 in the one thats in sleeps in his bed and is twice the weight of his and my whippets and none can get near her when she opens up in my opinion you will get a better bond with a indoor dog as its with you more and as for outside used to weather we are out 6am every day wind rain or shine the dogs are used to it where ever they sleep . -
Update on the pups my mate bred he cant upload on here 4 months. Pick dog. Pick bitch. . What you all think.

All falls down to one thing now as with all other aspects of this sport how do you expect the youngsters to learn something know one is willing to teach them ? before you would knit your own nets in front of the the fire and it was a family thing passed down generations know its over 100 for a net how do you expect a kid to pay that when they can get a lurcher for under 50 and a ferret for free ? i dont know anyone under 30 in my region who even know how to set a long net so who will teach the youngsters ?

I know what they are like at eating mate fusy buggers and they cant afford to be in the winter. dont look so grey in that photo. They break to ferrets pritty easy mate just keep him on the slip to start with and show him the ferret a few times a day he will get to know them.

I didnt say you were anything just said to me he looks a bit under weight and for a 21 month old dog is showing a bit white about the face my mates black nimrodel whippet is coming up four and is still not showing white hair on its face i agree though some of the lines do go white in the face young why not just get a better pick up closer into him showing his face.

fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Most saluki and saluki x's i have seen's feet look as i said the bitch does exactly what she was meant to do and if people dont think she has good feet that makes me no less up nor down my dogs are all here to serve a purpose and i see nout wrong with her feet my self. -

fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
you can tell what the bitch's coat is like through them photo's some saluki's have no feathering so dont be fooled into thinking every saluki based lurcher will. nout wrong with her feet she has 4 and they do exactly what they were made to . -
3/4saluki 1/4whippet bitch few piks
fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
As i said to a few pm's iv had i aint sure i had not realy thought of a price etc still unsure whether to let her go. My brother is always at me to take her out lamping etc but the bitch would be wasted slipped on things she shouldnt be. Anyway i would not want funny money for her i paid £150 for her and i would be happy for around about that back on her if the right home was available the bitch can be very shy with people she dont know so i am unsure as yet. The bitch has had 6 runs and taken two good sized bunny's there one at the end of december and one in january i just cant get out with -
3/4saluki 1/4whippet bitch few piks
fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
She is usualy ok getting back on the leash but if there are stragers about she go's back into herself and sort of crunches up and hardly walk's she gets excited in the kennel when you go get her out. Not to sure about if she will be for sale or not we have had her from 8 weeks we got her and her sister but didnt have the work for our rabbiting dogs so sold the sister now we are struggling to get the work for them they are out 3 time's a day for a walk but she was bred for work and would probably be better of at use rather than rotting away but we will see. greg -
Few picks of our coursing bitch sire is a black and tan saluki dam is halfx saluki whippet red and tan . She is just turned a year had one or two there in dec and january and had a few rabbits with her not alot of work for her so we are thinking about selling her so someone can get the use out of her she is 22" a bit timid with folks she dont know. Anyone any pictures of the same x and do they find them timid aswel around strangers , do you find them slow in coming on ? greg.

there is obviously jrt or something through the dog if its throwing pieds the dog aint even close to the quality of some of the patt's i have seen and is obviously only at stud for its colouring. As for the names people using a choc dog 9 out of ten times are using it cause its choc wouldnt matter what its done or bred out of.

My mates whippet has to be leashed around the local streams as she is constantly lifting ducks from them if she aint also seen partridge taken on the lamp but i would rather leave them be my self .

Beddy x whippet dog pup swap for lakie dog
fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
I cant help who my best mate's are everyone who has dealt with him has been happy and he has only ever been good to me and my little brother. The beddy x came from him his cousin bred the dog fence hopper has a grudge with everyone i couldnt care what people think nor could kreet the condition of our dogs speaks for its self at the end of the day were young men who are trying to get on with a hobby that is our life if people dont like that that's there problem. -
Beddy x whippet dog pup swap for lakie dog
fresh earth replied to fresh earth's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
the pups just sitting he is a bit shy and wary of strangers but he walks to heal of the leash etc already he was brought up on an estate with little attention so he takes a few minutes to warm to new people but he is a cracking big pup he is the double of his sire whom to me is exactly what a beddy x should look like. This may be a double post kreet didnt sign of my pc when he was in today so i had posted on his name and wasnt till i checked pm's i noticed it was his name . there are 3 wanna buy the pup but as i have said ill hang of a bit to see if i can get a lakie dug . gre -
