  1. Your spot on mate on both your posts. I have only run him along side me on the bike a handfull of times recently but in an areawhere i walked him everyday as a pup untill about 15months. He is now 2 and half so again spot on with the age. You seem very clued up on dog temperments. Interesting to read your point of view on how to look at it from the dogs perspective.
  2. Your a 100% right and that is a very sensible reply. But thing is you hear people saying all the time about trusting a dog, its not like i knew it was going to happen the dogs never been aggresive toward other dogs before but its a lesson learnt. I gave the owner my number and have been updated to say the dogs fine its just a cut ear, which im glad to hear. But yes you are right with what you have said the only thing is you make it too black and white......there will always be cases where a dog has never been aggressive and all of a sudden something triggers it to do something out of
  3. Silly mistake mate trusting an animal a little too much but as mentioned above by someone it must have been the fact he was running along side me maybe that triggerd something in him. Anyway im by no means bleating and yes i would have reacted the same as the other owner minus the screaming. Sounds like your a little sensitive tbh.
  4. Out on the bike tonight running the dog a few miles and a mile into it theres a woman walking a little cockerspaniel type dog i keep cycling as my dog normally doesnt bother with other dogs but tonight he must have flicked a switch and next thing it was a whole drama with her screaming for me to get my dog off which only made things worse ffs. I eventually got my dog off and now i can only imagine the vet bill il recieve for the trouble. Long story short wheaton xs are c**nts and it will only be fields for him from now on. Still cant put together why he decided that tonight was time
  5. Cheers lads much appreciated. Its worth the journey instead of trying to explain to a tree hugger why i run my dog lol.
  6. Whats he like with a working dog mate?
  7. Few and very far between i know but im sure theres the odd 1
  8. I live on the Wirral not lived here too long so dont have or know of any vets that are ok to deal with working dogs. I need a vet that understands the life of a working dog so any recomendations are greatly appreciated. Cheers
  9. Is it?lol not the parts i was at the weekend ?
  10. It all adds up mate im not sure what else it can be. I have 1 spot local i go to mostly to walk the dogs and always a carcas of a rabbit left behind from the buzzards or hawks about there.
  11. I most definitly am mate. I think the next few weekends could be spent going up round the north a bit more. Has to be part of the problem. They wipe out everything where as being a lurcher man i can safely say i would always like to keep a healthy population.
  12. You have to laugh though mate the antis dont realise it but the ban has only resulted in more game being killed. Its made the sport blowup as you say its more popular than ever but with less quarry to go out at. The antis are tbeir own worst enemys.
  13. Its sad times mate. I cant put it together back home i know at least 30+ lads that be out lamping ferreting digging shooting getting decent numbers and season after season tbe population doesnt seem to be effected. Go figure....
  14. In the wirral mate not far from north wales.
  15. Looks like il be getting the boat home on a weekend to go hunting and back for work monday again......
