  1. S400 lefty. Mad collie and endless rabbits!

  2. Hi Folks, Please find for sale my Walther CP99 .177. She comes complete with spare grips,3 spare air cannisters and a nice little laser for more accuracy. I haven't really used this pistol over the last 4 years and can't justify keeping it when my S400 sees regular use. It even has the original Walther box. Bought from new from Banbury gunsmiths and had approx 600 shots through her then just sat in cabinet for too long. Looking for £60 posted or £50 collect in person from Brackley (south northants/oxon/bucks border) Everything works as it should and buyer can test if collecting in person.
  3. hi folks, me faithful dog pepper,a huge eared collie mix has had 3 recent episodes of bad guts and off all food. ended up on antibotics 3 times from vets. vet reckons he has a low immune system due to malnutriation ( i was the 4 owner at 9 months old ) and need to do 4 small meals a day. prior to this recent bout pep was 100 percent energy, good at work and play.. I found him about the same time he started getting ill, licking some bunny brains whilst out shooting and wondered if he can picked up some parasitic infection..the vet thinks he might have a para infection and he didnt know pep had

  5. i've tried various methods but found that exactly 12 relaxed paces equals 10 yds,40yds are then 48 paces. I've measured this and am within 1 pace for accuracy as long as you remember to keep the paces the same.

Included is the Hawke 3-9 by 50 HD scope (approx 8 months old),padded rifle bag, approx 450 accupells, 200 RWS Superdomes and 200 Hollow points. 15. Evening folks, having never fired a decent air rifle ,can I ask how good are Theoben Evolutions, I ask as I am a lefty and struggle to find a comfy fit other than my bsa lightning gas ram. I wonder as I'm really thinking about selling her for a evo. I'd appreciate any advice from the wise guru's on here. Regards Cam
  16. Evening folks, god what an idiot, there i am, markers out in field, dusk passes, it took me half an hour before i realised how badly my scope suffers from misting on the outside of both scope outer ends! Does anyone have any good advice for stopping this or is it simply wiping every 10 mins or so? Starting to think those nv gen1 are the way to go as I think it would take the sweeping of red light away till ready, I'd love to hear any useful advice for lamping. Thanks for the advice to a newbie. Many Thanks, Cam
  17. gotta say..how low the recoil is compared to my old supersport 22. that theoben is very very smooth in compasrision to a springer from the 90's. cam
  18. Many thanks folks for the great answers, found that is was way to tight whilst prone..relaxed,easied off and got 10p groups at 40..happy as..never would have made that years ago. Found my pellet drop from 20-30-35-40-45-50. Result def change scope for a mil dot..great things.. there will be a hawke hd 3-9 for sale shortly i suspect. may i say how friendly and useful this forum and as jack would say..damn it..how time changes.. this forum gives newbies and experienced a chance to by pass years a mistakes..brilliant..blimey..21st century eh.. kindest regards cam
  19. thanks for that..yep running at 11.4lbs. My old gun was a supersport, good and reliable bless her, think i should change my scope from hawke 3-9mag to one with px! think this will help me get my eye back in on ranges.
  20. Hi folks, just tried out my s/h lightning last night. In .22 with theoben ram. As a newbie returning after 15 years I have to say the scopes and guns have come on along way! 5pence hole at 30yds.very happy, but boy does it suffer from drop, 50yds being some 4plus inches over hold..I'm using 14.6gram rws domed as came with the rifle, just wondered if the great forum community could recommend some pellets for a longer straighter 35yd to 50 yd flight path. Phew, many thanks for reading and any advuce is appreciated. Regards, Cam
