  1. The main reason for the in-accuracy is the rifle, no doubt about it as I have one! Cz 452 here I come.
  2. if right handed, grip rabbit around the neck with right hand, now with palm of left hand push quickly and sharply the rabbits chin right back so the top of its head touches its back. In my opinion this is the best method as you can feel the neck go as said above, wallah...dead rabbit, minimal meat damage!
  3. ok, its the s410 model, any tips on where to purchase the service kit?? cheers
  4. I was just wondering does the rifle have to go to airarms for the 2nd year service? how much etc? cheers
  5. haha class! bet the ginger bugger had a rude awakening.
  6. Havn't actually noticed to be honest, but I'm not keen on the taste of the meat, so when I eat it its in a pie or stew!
  7. Have you got permission on any golf courses? if i was someone without permission now i,d go around and ask some clubs because they are a haven for rabbits and no one is there at night its ideal, and also have problems with rabbits digging up greens and fairways. Where are you from rory? Yer i got rhyl and rhuddlan, rhyl is the better of the two though. Im just outside St Asaph.
  8. 54 thats crackin! shame golf courses don't close for a day as ferreting would go down rather well on some courses!
  9. golf courses are top for rabbits! what course is that then? rhyl golf course is a blast, had 12 with the s410 in a morning sesh once. nice to see permission working out.
  10. Can't see there being a difference, if i remember correctly, the bolt itself is just smooth, no splines, so try twist the bolt handle round to crack the threadlock if you are going to try to remove the handle. Always thought a black handle would look nice on the AA.
  11. On my air arms s410 i have taken the bolt off previously, its just the allen bolt that holds it on, should just slide off if the bolt is out, but as others say it may be threadlocked on.
  12. nice shooting carl, good shooting in north wales in the right places eh! ha ha yeh mate, i got some quite good permissions. where you from? from just outside st asaph, how long you had your rifle? it looks like 1 from the gunshop in rhyl.just the air rifle you shoot? this is abit better shot than previous...
  13. nice shooting carl, good shooting in north wales in the right places eh!
  14. bit out of my way matey, but good luck!
  15. Don't give up ya day job mate!! Not a bad shot mate. Were you actually aiming there or were you aiming for the sweet spot and the pellet drifted?? this was a standing shot (due to the length of the grass) i know the shots aint perfect, but there are good for me!
  16. calibre is .22 im not to sure to range as it was awhile ago now, around 30yards if i remember correctly.
  17. I would'nt bother with basc too expensive compared to its rivals for insurance, try countryside alliance or scottish association for countrysports. My friend(under 25) got insurance from countryside alliance for £15, bargain!
  18. Just a quick post showing one of my favourite pics, 'crying rabbit' taken with the trusty s410
  19. if it doesn't fit your 243 then if its up for sale id be interested, cheers Rory
