I took them to the vet today and he said the hob has scabies which was more than likely caught from a rabbit or in a warren. This has caused the feet to swell, not foot rot. The Jill seems fine but he gave me some meds to treat them both and some stuff to put on them once a month to prevent them from catching mites mange etc from the rabbits.

Hi guys, My hob started to show signs of what I thought was foot rot but after treating the feet with little success I am now thinking he may have miters as he has sores on his head and neck. Most people I have spoke to have said it is easily fixed with ivomec but I also have a pregnant doe anf was wondering if it is safe to treat her aswell. Thanks Craig

Malinois is faster more agile and has a much higher prey drive than a gsd and is also a much more physically sound animal (hips and joints etc).

Hi guys I have a working line Malinois I use for sch and protection work and I have been wanting to use him in a cross with a running dog. I had a staghound I was going to use but she turned out to have poor joints etc so we gave her the flick and have recenlty been given a ex racing greyhound bitch. She has only raced twice then put aside for a brrod bitch so she has not been on any drugs that will affect her cycle. I am hoping to use pups for foxes, rabbits and hares and just wanted to know wether anyone has used this cross. I have done a search but I cant seem to find any advice on the rati

Hi Guys I am a newbie to lamping rabbits with a dog so my question my be basic but please be patient lol I have a young whippet who is going well, very keen and starting to get afew. But my problem is that when I spotlight the whippet wont pick them up when they are squating. He has runover the top of heaps now and it is really frustrating. He also doesn't really see them till they move which means they get abit of a start on him. How do I teach my dog to follow the light and not his nose and how do i help him spot the squatters. Craig

The staghound is not a recognized breed but I think what we call the Australian staghound is our roo dog which I think is a mix of deerhound/ greyhound/ wolfhound and borzoi. The following link has some info. http://www.kangaroodog.org/

This is the newest addition to my pack pure Australian staghound. Chelsi is 14 months old and has been a house pet so far but will hopefully help me catch a few rabbits and foxes. I may even use her to breed with my Malinois pup to see how they go.
