  3. A hung Parliament is one where neither main party has an overall majority, and a third party holds the balance of power. In practice that would mean Labour backed up by the Lib Dems. Not to be confused with my favoured option, a hanged Parliament. In this case immediately after the election they are all strung up from lamp posts. Ric Hehehe...yep - I'm with you Ric

  9. Hi kurtrog70, everyone... I'm no expert having just last year started with the whole Ferret thing and I can only tell you what my experience was... First I had a brother and sister from 12 weeks old. They were happy enough together inside a partition of a block shed, 6' x 6' with natural daylight. The occomodation was three converted breeding cages stacked on top of one another with flexible tubing from level to level as well as a sloping piece of plank and the lower exit has always been open and they have free range in there area. After a couple of months, I went to the animal r

  11. Thanks for all your words of encouragement - The lads wanted to carry on yesterday but the ferts looked a little tired so we called it a day. The hob seemed to work the warren better than the jill but t'was their first time and can only get better I guess. How long do you guys work ferrets for in hours on a trip? Do you swap them out from time to time or do yours go at em all day? ATB Paul
  12. Hi everybody. I have been mouching on the forums for a little while now, enjoying learning and reading about the sports. My son and I recently decided to give ferreting a go and we were lucky enough to get some kits from a friend's mate - working farm ferrets. I've been out and bought a long net and 20 purse nets, cut some hazel for poles and pegs and gotten a couple of small permissions - and this morning we went out in what was our first outing. I'm sure you can understand our excitment and also that we are still in the very early stages of becoming proficient at this sport

As long as they have enough weight on them, (for the anesthetic I guess?) they'll be fine. I wasn't offered any other method, John, but do heed the info from Chrisnick if your Jill comes into season within the next couple of months... ATB Paul
