is the whippet becoming to popular for its own good
trubshaw replied to workinwhippet's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
You are right mate, never thought i'd agree with you but you are right. The problem with me is i'm passionate about the whippet and my whippets and it boils my piss when folk are just breeding for the numbers and not thinking about the lines and what they are breeding from. They sell to anyone who has the money. The amount of whippets that are ending up in rescue centres is very worrying at the moment, and it's all down to over breeding and breeders selling whippets to unsuitable homes. I try and help out all i can in there fundraising events by donating photo shoots for them to auction o -

as long as the price stays up at present it`s 300-450 for a pup there will be more and more litters turned out so i can`t see that keeping the messers at bay, with a potential 2-3 grand to be made on the average k.c.litter the messers are more likely to be attracted -

Creatine and other suppliments
trubshaw replied to bleachtastesnice's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
read this article, have any tests actually been done on dogs ?,top class athletes(usually sprinters) who use creatine only measure there improvment in tenths or hundreths of a second,so what advantage can be gained by giving it to a well worked and exercised dog -

Yes he is outspoken but thats the nature of the beast BUT if your prepared to listen to him he does know his stuff and

dont think i read it wrong brother you`ve just stated it again, that you are handicapped because the dogs breeder is the judge, change the judge then there is no handicap,as for the rest of us, glover challenged you, may the best dog win
-
if your not happy with the judge brother use a different one, seems like an unnecessary swipe at pennymeadow to me that
-
or perhaps he might just be a good dog man who recognises potential

Will David Cameron overturn the ban?
trubshaw replied to Mr Jones's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
legal hare coursing is a thing of the past, cameron is giving people false hope, all he`s promised is a free vote but when ? the country is in a mess so huntings is not very high on his list of priorities so don`t hold your breath, hope i`m wrong though. -
