Does anyone else suffer from bad connections with the standard lamp connections eg cigarette lighters, Jack plugs and Croc clips Came to a head the other night when lamping and dog just about to strike right in the middle of a huge field and then it was dark So off to B&Q for some inspiration and came up with this, ( hope pics work! ) Only cost about £4 in all and feels really robust I have got a great confidence in this connector, Another tip, dont buy the expensive battery belts put the batterys in a rucksack then chuck all your bunnies in there too

I Actually think that GB taking the front is fantastic news .... He is more of a to**er than the last one, after a couple of years of him no messer will want to vote the party in again.

As I said folks, I would not have thought it to be intentional if you read the post. The tradition of having the horses in the river is to wash them off to look their best to be sold. I believe that the bloke does have a lot to answer for and was either too heavy handed or possabely drunk? He should therefore be held to account for his actions, however as I said the horse would have been of value to him and drowning it would have never been his intention. All I am trying to do is to put it into perspective, is it not tradition in some cultures to sacrifice goats by throwing them off buildi

Please dont get me wrong in this reply, I think it is tragic that the horse drowned and yes he is a coward for running off, however, horses are a currency for these folks, I struggle very hard to believe that anyone would do this on purpose when the horse would have held a decent value at the fair. Irresponsable yes, intentional, I would not have thought so. More to the point to put this into perspective, I have been around horses and on horses since I was knee high to a grasshopper, the amount of fatal accidents that happen in racing for example at point to points the most famous and pub

We are to blame, all of us UNITED WE STAND AND DEVIDED WE FALL Help out the younger generation and give them all the support they need, one day our grandchildren will never know the fun we had if we do not bring them up with the knowledge our grandparents taught us, for those just starting they need that extra boost. Cheers CBC and Wippet lad! Still cannot believe that people admit to using these machines! Can any one come up with a valid excuse? I would love to hear it!!

True mate I am with you totally but do you still have milk in your tea, I used to shoot a hell of a lot of bull calves when I was a kennelman just because they were no good to man nor beast. Not wishing to get at you, I still use milk, love it, but disagree with the way in which it arrives in our fridges, meat, well I can do something about that, keep me own pigs in a shed, and rent two acres of extended garden off one of these townies moved to the countryside and keep rotating beef cattle round that, real easy when you put your mind to it. Oh and ducks Soooo easy to rear and eat, love em!

That coller is unreal is that the one with the pink quick release lead too??
-
F@@k me, i can not believe i have just read all of this!! Proper dog men? Stay in the kennel for 23 hours of the day, running machine for the other hour. I guess this is going to put a lot of folks on their high horse about treadmills but come on, where is the countrymen amoungst you?? Fair play I am sitting in front of a computer right now, I use it for work every day, however you will not find a TV in my house, that is for couch potatoes, them who do not have time to dedicate at least an hour either end of the day to their dogs do not diserve to keep them. Get your ar*es out

I am quite enjoying seeing how this post is progressing! But to all who have posted you need to ask yourselves this, when visiting the fair are you buyers, sellers or tourists, and if any of the afore mentioned when was the last time you went to the fair? The long and short of this post is that the fair is a horse fair so who else goes there with a purpose?

Count me in, wouldnt miss it

Recon you are right there Olly Nice pup bet it will go like sh*t off a shovel with that much running dog in it!! All the best Matt

Tell you what I did with mine when moved into new house..... took all the glass to the tip, tied some tidy mesh to it, put half a roof on and it is now a perfect aviry for the harris hawk, now a green house that catches me rabbits!! Also would make a good terrier kennel in the same respect, cheaper than buying one of those fancy ones and a damn sight easier too!! All the Best

Have you got an older lurcher or a mate with an older one, you will soon find that it will run on with another and start to see what it is after, if not let us all know where you are in the country and I am sure someone will be willing to have a mooch around with you. All the best Matt

To be fair FL i dont know!! I brought a lurch of a chap in Barnsley 5 years ago and he had loads of ferrets, all well cared for, some of which he refered to as greyhound ferrets, I have also heard tales form some old boys of extreemly active quick ferrets, just trying to find out if these are correct or not??

Saw some of these years ago real small and full of life, does anybody on here keep any and what are their opinions on them?? Cheers Matt

Take no notice of the mouthful of abuse, as he says he is younger and therefore has no manners! Ask as many questions as you like, there is a wealth of experience on this site so use it to the full. Be patient with the pup, not really the lamping season now anyway so wait till the stormy nights of Nov/Dec and get yourself started then, dont expect miracles but remember you will get out what you put in. If you need luck then you dont diserve it, if you diserve luck then you dont need it!

Try the local charity shop!! Honest I go in every 3 weeks or so and they have bags of clothes and towels etc which they do not think will sell in the shop so they give them to me as dog bedding for a couple of quid a time!! Rip them up and then throw them away when you have some more. Helping charity as well

Hi Mate where abouts are you, also is this bitch broken to all stock? Cheers Matt

Hi All Three dog pups left, parents are more farm dogs than tried and tested workers although they have caught daytime rabbits about the place, I am advertising for a mate so cannot answer too many questions. These dogs were bred for the family not for profit and he wants £50 each to good homes, Anybody interested? Can email pics, having trouble loading them up but please only ask if interested, pups 11 weeks I think

I was once told it was bad luck to hold the buckle in your right hand when putting a collar on, never done it since. Off the subject of dogs, when I used to race ride my suprestition was to stand on any new tack or cloathing so it had hit the deck already! You can imagine the look I got when a prowd owner of a first time runner handed me their shining racing silks and the first thing I do is drop them and tread on them!
-
The way to find them is to put yourself in a foxes shoes. If you cannot do this then think like a tramp. If you had to live in that area where would you curl up out of the wind and rain, try it!! In some of the nicest countryside with valleys, ditches, hedges, walls, woods and fields, if there is a quiet scrap yard close by you can bet your last penney there will be a fox that curls up under the seats of a rusty old banger with its windows smashed out! You would too!! Best of luck
