  1. R.I.P Grim I will miss you tremendously..
  2. Located this Opossum in a rockpile the other day.
  3. Tons of them around here, live right in and around the cities too. I usually see them alone, but have seen up to 5 of them in a "pack"
  4. Great to get the kids started early! Good job!
  5. These are my potlickers. I use them in a bunch of different terrain from desert to forest, urban hunting in small lots and ditches to fruit orchards. They suite me, and I have a lot of fun with them. They've seen a bunch of different critters. The brindle dog is some kind of bull breed, no idea of her ancestery. The black dog is a patterdale. And I just got a whippet pup wich im hoping will add a lot more game to my bag when hes older. Excited about a bushing section! Hope to add more pics soon!
  6. Wow, that border whippet is a cool looking dog! Can you give us any more info on him? Weight? Height? Is he pretty quick? Thanks, really like the look of him
  7. Just a few months old, real glad I finally got my hands on a Whippet. Hope he turns out to be a good one for me!
  8. The area has a wide variety of different critters, just not a whole lot of them.
  9. Whatever it takes to get em in my belly!
  10. A whole host of different tackle. If one thing dosnt work I try another. I use everything from woolyboogers on a fly pole, to lures, or even a worm and bobber. Some spots they wont touch a thing you throw at them, other spots they will bite anything.
  11. Wish i coulda got a better picture, but they were already getting spooky at this distance, and i dont have a nice camera. But the rack on this sucker is HUGE! He had all the females with him, and all the younger males were hanging back a bit, i belive there were 18 in total. And some other shots i took of scenery not too far from there.
  12. dogs-n-natives, those pics are very similar to the type of country ive found them in. About the garlic and taters, well i myself would have no problem cooking one up! Id bet they are quite tasty.
  13. Where the marmots are no, they are up in the high country, so theres not much snake up there. But just out mooching around with the dogs ive found plenty of rattlesnakes, luckily havnt had one(or me) get bit yet.
  14. The marmots ive seen have been pretty large, id say easily up to 20ish lbs. Unfortunetly, here in CA owning ferrets is illegal. Plenty of people still own them, but im SURE if a game warden saw somone letting a ferret go into a rabbit warren or anywhere else, it would be serious trouble.
  15. If the pup has already had its first shots, there is no need to give the pup anything after getting rat bit. Just clean it out with a little soapy hot water, or some hydrogen peroxide.
  16. In Alaska there seems to be quite a bit of black and very dark gray fox. From what i have seen.
  17. Old pics of pics. I use this dog for rabbits, she dosnt catch them too often, but she gives it all her heart every single run she makes. She will work cover happily also. Ive also shot a couple in front of her. I now use a terrier to bolt the rabbits out of brushpiles and pipes, and i have the bulldog waiting for the bolt.
  18. He used to be a member on this site. His book is well worth the money, lots of decent info. His blog has some interesting reading now and again.
