  1. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM honey! Thats a good hive
  2. Errr nope! The only way to get rid of them is to kill em.....either the hens or the rats it's up to you
  3. russels are shit mate never seen a good one in 30 years How can i put this politely........oh yeah.....YOU ARE CLEARLY A KNOB! Russells are highly intelligent and bloody hard workers with the right people working them
  4. You aint gonna get much on here, try knocking doors like everyone else
  5. For god sake it's 6 months old!!! It's still a puppy!!! Try and force it to work and you WILL ruin the dog! Let it develop it's instincts, some just don't take to working some go mad from a few months old. Old socks and fluffy toys are a good way to get em interested or a nice fresh fox brush
  6. RFD means registered firearms dealer, a gunshop
  7. Serves you right for trying to be cocky to a person who was obviously against what you were doing! I wouldn't have left anything there for the tit to steal. If you were there legally with permission and there is no public right of way or livestock in the fields then report him to the police for theft and take it from there. It will probably put the wind up him if they can find out who he is.
  8. My JRT killed his first rat at 10 months without even seeing a rat before that! I would catch a couple in a live trap and see what the dog does when he sees them
  9. You sent cash in the post and he hasn't recieved it....yet you have the dvd's??????? LOL i didn't think anyone could be that daft these days Next time go to the post office and get a crossed postal order, this can only be cashed at a post office by the person named on it so i'm sure they will have an ability to check it.
  10. Don't use the terrier for earth work and you probably won't find him gone to ground mid drive or bushing session. I never use mine for earth work but he is without a doubt one of the best dogs for finding/flushing game from thick cover on our shoot. Goes where even spanials wont go!!
  11. They have very little scent by nature, they are ground nesting/living so won't want anything to smell em Some dogs just won't pick em either.
  12. Mate if you work for a company that sells rodent poison then try reading the lables Warfarin has not been used in modern poisons for years due to high levels of resistance to warfarin (Warfarin is only generally available for grey squirrel control) The majority of poisons are anti-coagulants with a an antidote of vit K1. Even brodificoum which is an acute poison (indoors only) has the same antidote
  13. Needs qualifying more..... If they are in open traps/snares then a 410/9mm garden gun or shotgun has a good chance, a 12ft lb air rifle is far from satisfactory, you will have a job keeping him still to get it anywhere close. If they are in caged traps then rifles and shotguns are a health and safety issue and not for consideration, you need a pistol, 410/9mm again or .22lr is very capable, but they still run around in the cage a lot on the whole, so great care is needed. Yes, a 12ft lb air rifle is capable of killing a fox but should not be anyones first choice! Drowning in th
  14. And how often is there a day with next to no wind in this country? Anything is possible in ideal conditions, but reality is that a 5 inch drift at a 2inch target at 200yrds in a 10mph wind is still a pretty big drift. It's a hit or miss situation, with the wind a lot of the time is more than 10mph. It will be possible on those still days but not much good in other conditions.
  15. I wish you all the luck in the world, may be worth trying to keyhole bullets at 100 then 150 then 200, they will need to be grouping VERY tight for what you want to achieve. Give it a try and if it works, then good news, if not then you havn't lost anything. It's better to try and fail than to never have tried at all
  16. So have you tried looking at just how tiny a 2inch circle is at 200yds?? I doubt you can do it even if you have a rifle capable of doing it, i don't wish to be defeatist but do you really need a rifle to shoot rabbits at 200yds when you have a .22 for rabbit control. Fine if you are body shooting for vermin control/high numbers on a regular basis but the amount of time you will need to spend on a range to get your accuracy to the required level for head shooting means you ain't gonna be shootin many bunnies.
  17. Surely fixing the fecking fence should have been the first priority if theres that many holes! If they can't get in then they can't get onto the pitch
  18. Head shooting rabbits everytime at 200+ yards in a breeze/wind....goodluck to ya
  19. It's 99% fuckwit owners and 1% bad dogs that are the problem. Any dog can be trained to be aggressive just as any can be trained to be docile. Breeding from docile dogs will help but as long as knobheads can get pitbulls and rotties with no experience of owning dogs then these problems will continue. If more people watched programs on tv and read books on the subject of how to train dogs and recognise the warning signs i'm sure there would be less people injured by poorly handled animals.
  20. Deer and badger will leave plenty of foot prints to ID the culprit. You would need to fence the deer but you will stuggle to stop billy. Badger will eat wheat or maize but prefer maize in a big way!
  21. A nice 25-06 and a hugarian schmitand bender 8x56 scope would fit the bill nicely. Good range of bullets for fox and deer off the shelf and if you home load too, i use 75gr ballistic tips homeloaded and they are real good on charlie
  22. You miss the point shepp, i am aware of the differences but someone else seems to think only bull/rotties can kill people. the point is ANY breed is capable not just so called dangerous dogs.
  23. Of course they can! If you were lying on a couch and a terrier took a dislike to your throat, would you survive??? I doubt it If a rottie or bull breed did it you wouldn't survive, if a feckin poodle did it you wouldn't survive! They are all WILD animals at heart, yes there will always be good and bad but they are only that way through stupid owners. ANY dog will revert to it's natural insticts if it goes feral and it will kill if needed they are carnivores after all. Thats called nature, we as humans have tamed their insticts to an extent but there is NO way any dog can be fully trusted ar
