  1. I'll correct you mate. Most pheasant keepers arent (IMO)that hot with terriers unless they also do it for recrreational purposes. Grouse keepers on the other hand could more than likely show some of the keyboard warriors on here a thing or two about terrierwork. Been out saturday and sunday with some grouse keepers and dug 5 sooked vixens and cubs on the edge of the hill. Accounted for three dog foxes at night as well. The decent grouse boys take no prisoners and know their stuff. Some should take a step back and look at themselves before brandishing bold statements about 'keeper
  2. It doesnt need proofed mate it will probably cost under £100 bucks to thread and whatever the moderator costs i woukd reccomend a wildcat predator it wont rust and u can clean it just better than a T8!
  3. thats the anti bull crap i've come to expect on this site i've two bitch pups i'm bringing on, one is a tiny little thing that will get on to any fox, the other is a staff X pat that is a nice size (no bigger than my full pat dog) its courses for horses, and while the being in sick bay a bit more might be true, the hard man shite just shows your ignorace and so anyone with an opinion that hunts is also now an anti? how did you work that one out?? Its just my opinion and im no expert but if you dont like it then thats tough shit  He didnt say you were an a
  4. haha go Roiss County!

  5. Come on guys there must be more than one person who will put up a picture of their setup!
  6. Is there ever any jobs as terriermen that come up on proper mounted packs (i know they are predominantly down in england) and if so how would one find out about them because you never see them advertised (probably bad PR since the ban even though its still legal) If anyone has any information it will be greatly recieved
  7. Doctor scopes are essentially just Zeiss as they are (i'm 99% sure) made with the same lenses in the same factory so quality certainly isnt an issue I would be very suprised if u could notice 300 bucks worth of difference between the 2.
  8. I would go for a cz carbine mate its a nice little gun for the money and mine has been deadly accurate from day one. It might not have the same build quality as the sako but its a lot cheaper and if u change the trigger spring for a lighter one (the kits cost tuppence) u can get it just as sweet as the sakos.
  9. Provarmint now that is one mean setup i think you have intimidated everyone else out of putting theirs up! Haha
  10. Hay fowk just wondering what you all feed your running dogs on as i always have trouble keeping my lurchers from sh?tting all over the kennels and drying them up and was looking for some advice. Would feeding a pure meat diet do the trick? Any advice is greatly appreciated Cheers fowks
  11. hay guys lets see some pictures of your reloading setups/work benches im looking for inspiration!
  12. If u have the cash the foxpro FX3 is the business iv had one for almost 4 years and its awesome, re-programmable, remote operated and a clear loud sound it pisses all over by mates U-call and all other electronic ones i've heard.
  13. BT are certainly not illegal for use on deer but in curious to why anyone would use them if they prodominantly shoot deer in woodland off sticks! They are designed as a varmint bullet to expand very quickly and be violent and cause a lot of damage so why the big suprise when it blows some ribs out! I have used BTs for years and shoot the majority of deer in the head (which is perfectly good practice if you have a good rest and are within a reasonable distance before anyone starts!) because i love their accuracy and how flatt they shoot as well as the fact that you never lose vermin when using
  14. There isnt even that big a shortage of keepering jobs in the country there is actually a shortage of decent young keepers coming through the problem is a lot of the ones coming out of the collages were never fit to be keepers in the first place therefore cant get jobs!
  15. Use mirage 50gm,s they are the shit mind u iv been using some remmy goose 65gms recently knock the shit out of everything including ur shoulder!
  16. Looks a cracking little pup mate i love springers with a lot of white in them! Good luck with his training.
  17. They sound like a good idea and i can see the benifits but they will all give trouble in the long run i have heard of all the leica ones that are getting to 5-6 years old are all packing in and the optics quality is nowhere near as good as the straight binos. Why do u think leica and zeiss only offer only a 5 year warrenty on their combined RF/Bino models instead of the 25/30 on their binos. The problems with reliability is why swarovski havnt brought out a conbined model yet because they dont want to tarnish their reputation by bringing out an inferiour product. It might be a pain carryin
  18. If u break a lot of springs u can weld coils between the chassis and the spring and u'll never break one again! I know of people doing it with rangers, mazdas and toyotas the ride is slightly harsher off road but it'll save u a few pennies! ) p.s. never buy the genuine ford springs they are far softer and more expensive than aftermarket ones! Hope some of this helps.
  19. Has anyone on here tried using a roof mounted lightforce blitz for lamping i have always gone for the striker personally as i feel it would be a bit like lamping with a sattelite dish but would like to hear from anyone that has actually tried one?
  20. this made me f+*king sick and shows exactlythe way this counties going this little c!*t gets a slap on the wrist! U would probably be punished more for digging pigs its a f!*king joke! If i was this girls boyfreing and the little **** fu*ker had bragged to me i wud be hunting him down and dishing out some proper punishment if that is his mentality at 13 imagine what he'll be doing in 5 years! Apart from scrounging benifits off this country i mean that goes without saying!
  21. get the neoprene ones with zips they are warm and hold ur feet far better than the bickle ones. The extra thick neoprene ones just pull ur socks down eithin a few steps so are annoying as hell.
  22. The question is if jack helped u off a horse would you help jack off a horse!?
