  2. goodness, that reminds of that sone You used to sing, I love me bawbe or somthing along those lines back to the topic, we have had plenty of berries for the last 2 years apart from sloes, this year sloes aplenty, plus the holly trees were laden quite early,I cannot say the warrens are any deeper, but i do think we going to have a bad winter, its been a pretty crap Summer all told. and that should have been * song * no edit button these days

  13. I was living at on Scampton base when i first got married, The lancaster was on the gate at that time, the noise of more than one vulcan on the run way used to make the house shake... I have been lucky and now live a stones throw away, the Vulcan came by for quite a few fridays during the summer, she was here last week, its a great shame its come to a sad end.   24. 95% of lurcherfolk (not coursing folk) had never heard of, or forgotten about the ALC before this thread started. The ALC is/was stuck with the past history of essentially supporting the course clubs. As much as we all would like to return to the halcyon days of "pre-ban" and will do all we can to campaign for that ban to be lifted,Those days are long gone. In the current environment, a "working lurcher federation" needs to represent those who work within the current laws.
