    We have not excluded any individual members however we accept it's not for everyone and we can not and will condone any actions or person whom do not conduct themselves within the ethos and values of the AWL. But you will happily turn a blind eye, under certain circumstances........... If You know of such an occasion please bring this to my attention.

No, i think that would be backing up, what you said above, how can an association that represents the working lurcher thinks its gloating to publish "the wrongs it has righted" so far, a very strange comment to make and before you start with i am biased bla, bla, you posted it and as such i am genuinely interested as to what these righted wrongs are, maybe it will swell your membership. Given the fact I am duty bound to confidentiality, what wrongs would You like to see righted?

    When You look back, why was Hare Coursing and Stag Hunting banned, ? I have done both, Stag Hunting by far the softest of targets to ban. Hare Coursing, did we not hear ' 5 out of 5 dog? 7 out of 7 dog? ( not me i hasten to add, just a couple of tiny tropies to My name ) did we loose sight that its the test of the dog against the Hare? the chase! Was it at that point, we shot ourselves in the foot, spouting our dogs kills? maybe or maybe not, but i often question that fact, sadly whatever You think Hare Coursing was banned more than likely because it too was a soft target.     Thank for the heads up Francie, i will watch it on the i player , and take it from there. The AWL has thus far righted many wrongs, to date. What we find is folk standing on the side lines , telling us what to do, yet failing to take part in what we do. A bit like clapping on the troops as they march into battle. This is not aimed at any one in particular, just an observation. For those who have joined us, and others that have just donated we thank You.

    For those of You who complained to Of Com. i spoke with them on the phone yesterday, I was advised that Of Com would not deal with this complaint, the woman in the office sent me the the BBC Trust , I spoke to a Gent there , who took my complaint and lodged it. He then went on to say , please also fill in the form on the web site. bbc.co.uk/complaints They certainly make complaining as difficult as possible.! IF You still very strongly about it, i urge You to follow this route. To the family involved, be sure You have spoken with Clive Reece.

    It is what it is DB , the law is the law, You can ask the CA their stance, its up to You. the AWL as You so rightly pointed out is govened by the COHA , to which we are accountable. We can only promote legal lurcher work. On a day to day basis, issues come to our door, which we act on where needed or dont ,its that simple, but when the every day Lurcer man/ woman , cannot step out of his door, without being hounded, then its a much bigger problem , one we cannot fail to address, and Your connstant nit picking fuels the *IN* house problem that the Lurcher faces.     are you mad travellers always get harsher side of law. any excuse for police to enter sites and they will. and courts ALWAYS give higher sentences to travellers. i know alot of sites that earn honest livings. good and bad in all walks of life but to blame the whole ban situation on travellers bit below the belt. just like how dog men shouldnt all be tarred travellers shouldnt either. If You care to re read i chose my word carefully. There are many a TRUE Romany who are honest as the day is long.

    It is my opinion ( please note MY ) that the ban has led to more poaching then ever, there are a certain few who have chosen to carry on regardless, they are taking stupid fines , ie~ Motor offences etc, but these die hards are falling foul of those that wont be touched by the justice sytstem as the Law enforcers wont enter their camps!, these vagabonds should be ousted as they are the lowest of the low... they are the ones driving over farmers land, using threatning behaviour etc. BUT they appear to be unstopable quite happy are they to dump thier dogs, or even run them over, leaving the dog

    I haven't seen the full report, only a clip off the web. i have read the Anti comments below it. All is in hand Ken, i knew this was going public prior. to its release. One can never buy into media Hype.

    Sadly this is true reflection of changing times, we need to protect the working lurchers and for future generations, hence i was passion driven to drive forward the AWL , as I have stated before many times, if we dont pick up the gauntlet and run with it, the lurcher ( as we know it ) will become nothing more then a mongrel , 11 years since the ban has passed, we will NEVER get another chance NOW for at best a full repeal, or amendmant . It is a very slow process, however exciting things are coming soon. Many thanks to those of You who saw the same vision as we did and joined the AWL.
