  1. I Have no intention of getting into a slanging match with You D B , You lost me at LACS . However at no point have i stated we are failing to attract members . Your steering group LAGBI had 2 members to whom I have the most utter respect, I have communicated with both Those day are gone, we are in the here and now , it doesn't bode well when You answer a question with a question . I too speak with certain individuals , and trust me, I am aware of how folk feel, but actions will always speak better then words . The grass is never greener, its fake .
  2. I will just add, this quote. If a loss, a set back or a refusal was enough to put You off Your passion , then it never was Your passion.
  3. Firstly Hats of to You Dog Man for actually time to write to the CA . You have received no more than I would expected . BUT the Lord Bonomy report may, have ramifications here, but that for now is as much that can be said. If we had a lot more like You, our countryside sports would be united. The AWL does hold a position on the Council Of Hunting Association , and is represented at every meeting. Everything is never clear , cut and dried in every corner , however I have always, since taking the temporary position as Chair, given every member a chance to have their input
  4. @ DB , the CA and the COHA are not joined , the AWL has no input into any of the CA.S proceedings . Peeved, indeed i am, and now folk are doing their talking with the feet. Had we been about rurual oscars or moors, maybe we might have had, but that said, i dont see it of any benifit to fracture the whole of the Hunting community . It leads me to say, and You will know DB that one can still work our lurchers within the current Hunting Act, but its the complete and utter apathy of the running dog world in general that is the hardest battle to fight, this, ' I don't care' or ' its do
  5. Gosh, that one roaring out of the water ,is a stunner.
  6. I would ask Socks about first aid kits, his are the bees knees .
  7. Well done KPS, You certainly have bred an excellent litter & how wonderful to have a reunion with some of the litter mates! Todd has come through in most by the '' looks and work ethic '' of them , the workability down to the owners. looks like a grand day out for You all. Stunning photography to boot! may they all go on to forfill their destiny. Still kicking myself I didn't have one. Kind Regards , J
  8. I think You will see him here some times, but i will be sure to pass on Your kind words , thank You DB
  9. The Changing Season of the AWL It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that, due to ill health, Mr Alan Tyer has unfortunately had to stand down as the Chairman of the AWL. He will, however, remain as a consultant to aid the incoming AWL Chairperson. Alan was the founder of the former ALC, which hosted the famous Forley Cup, and he has worked tirelessly for the working lurcher for many years, particularly during the period prior to the enactment of the Hunting Act 2004, his submissions have most surely saved what little we have left in the pursuit of our legal quarry h
  10. Tracy, You clearly have a grievance , please put it in writing via the e mail facility on the face book page of the AWL, from either of Your accounts will do, or any one who uses those accounts. if You wish to cc the Countryside Alliance, that's fine. But please refrain from making a personal attack on Giro. Jayne ( AWL ) Sec.
  11. No... thats not the root I am thinking D B
  12. Ok Folks, I am asking has any one seen the photo before, and before You jump on the band wagon, poaching has gone on way before the Hunting Act. I dont see why the #Lucher# has to front the campaign But this photo has done the round before, some one surely some of the older members must recall it? I have a suggestion.... however, i was hoping some one else could help?!
  13. How Bizzare, i was about to post that... what I am after is this, does any one recognise the photo? I seem to recall it has been show before ?
  14. Good Luck to You Socks, Your going to need it,so many ex racers have a lot of 'issues' some of which cannot be sorted. Take all the help You can get and i wish You the best of luck. I doubt I would need to tell You to get her cranked in the first instance.
  15. Its grand to see Pups progress, shaping up nicely a credit to the owners and breeder.
  16. Righty ho, if Your ok with that... let me know via pm if Your not, and i will have Your photo taken off.
  17. Lmao there's a picture of me on website I knew nothing about . . I'm happy its a very bad picture and a dog working on my ground. . . . cracking pictures of dog and good artical. Bit of a supprise.Atb Are you sure buddy ?? Yes, but its all good. Atb On the link above i can assure You, that the dog belongs to the photographer, hence the copyright.
  18. think I will keep my membership fee and have a few pints be better spent I would have thought You would have a vested interest at this time S L Given the fact that Senior Judge Lord Bonomy is leading a review into the operation of the protection of wild mammals ( Scotland) Act 2002. The aim of the review is to ensure current legislation is providing the necessary level of protection to foxes and other wild mammals, while at the same time allowing effective and humane control of these animals where needed. All submissions had to be handed in by the end of March. Our Scottish members are
