bloody hell mate never heard that happerning before but one of the lads i go digging with has a mk3 and has never got on with it it ether works fine or not a all but he used to joke that it was good as a hand warmer as it did use to get pritty warm when used all day.

never tryed ether i just use my deben mk1/2 15ft ferret coller tape on a dog coller with an exstended battery holder so it holds 3 batts instead can pin point my dog at 20ft + never had any probs
