get your self out with some one that knows the game ,watch and learn ,then choose your dog to suit your needs ,but most of all remember ,THE MAN WILL MAKE THE DOG ,so it can only turn out ,the way you make it .GOOD OR BAD i used to get out a lot when younger with my mates dogs, had a nuthall terrier about 10 years ago was a pure beast i mainly go out with air rifle but really want to have a good working dog

one of the reasons why i was thinking a saluki was cause of its ancient breed and the history fasinated by it

thanks for that will be looking for that book tommorow no prob. but you will need to take it out alot , my dog has about 3hours aday out at run morning for 1hr 30mins normally , i find that if i train him say for 30mins straight he gets bored , so i break it up say ill recall him 5 times in ten mins , then let him go , then again after 20mins or so , so he has 30mins training when out , but the grey gets tired and sits with me , but if they dont get exercise they get loud and destrutive exercise wont be a problem got big field on door step any thing else i should know che

will be hunting rabbits and them bigger ones day and night on land got permision mainly large fields If you live around darlington area mate as your name suggests the fields ain't 'saluki size big' but a salukixgrey first cross may do the trick, I haven't owned a first cross, my bitch is about 7/8 saluki 1/8 grey and shows all the 'saluki traits' a first cross maybe easier to trin, atb richard what was your first dog
