Demand For Grey Partridge Poults???
willum replied to gamerooster's topic in Gamekeeping, Conservation & Shoot Management
Keeper I help out reared Greys under bantys xs has done ok out of it he's got 50 breeding pairs that gave him good fertility this year 800 poults down on the shoot all seem to have held ok still in there covey but not in one big hit when being pushed through the line. Poults and eggs went like hot cakes that were surplus all over the country . Good luck if your going to do them as they can be quite a nightmare compared to red legs or longtails -
Be a while before they hit us down here norfolk on the east coast just outside great yarmouth another few weeks to a month before the numbers start to build

I've got one of the blue clulite led torches with dip and high beam 20hours on dip enough to pick eye shine at about 100-150 yrds and on high 3hours but will go out to over 500 yrds with a good beam tight for the first 200 yrds and opens up a bit as range goes out but good enough to still see what your spotting well over 350 yrds bought mine direct from culson clulite arrived in 2 days. 50quid plus vat total around 70 I think same as ebay but most on there are only good for 200 yds so they all say. Direct ones upgraded to 600 yds hope this helps bud life time warranty and every part replaceabl

And chap I know was whelping a bitch the other week earl morning about 1ish heard a diesel vehicle pull up then a squeak noise and a woof woof trying to gethis dogs barking he came out of pen to see what's going on to find a chap pearing over the fence he said what the f**k are you.uptp and charged out by the time he got out the yard they had gone couldn't make out 4x4 though. Same week during the day a fella not a mile away from the first got hit 2 in a day by 3 men each time they took off across fields running old boy to old to catch them but they didn't come back after 2nd visit but these d

Personal I have not had anything to do with these systems so I can't really pass a fair comment on them if you was local to east anglia would pop over and have a run through with you probably looking at between 800-10000 for a 4 camsystem supplied and fitted with a 2year guarantee. And a 2 year maintenance. Contract would also fit a sim gsm dialler that would notify you of any events on your yard

Fit cctv for a living you pay for what you get in this game I'm afraid. Try looking a available tech viola 4ch dvr these are quite good for there money very user friendly some one like traders warehouse should do them they are about 150-200 quid cameras get from cpc online q-vis cams are not bad for a cheap style cam they are now a 960 rate instead of 760 which means they are now one step down from hd quality s hd is 1080 a flat screen a psu to power the cams 12v 5amp will do for 4cams bnc coax connectors and away you go really hope this helps atb willum

Visonic powermax kits are a good doddle to fit and install wireless bell and the main panels have a built in dialler that can be wired to a phone point so on a activation it calls you to let you know of a break in they also have a mic built so you can listen in to your property and shout at shits that have broken in. Also come with remote arm fobs aswell. Hkc alarm panels are ok but can't accept a 0 if or when you set your 4 digit code. Wired panels are good and a lot cheaper but pain in the arse if you've got get cables all over the place. Hope this helps bud

Try another method aswell if you always shoot with gun ready mounted in your sholder I find this method a bit restrictive and personally can't shoot like that. When entering the stand get your self into your desired shooting position and pull your gun up about 3/4 into mounted position call for the birds as the birds comes into your pick up zone move your body with it mount your gun fully pull a head of it keep moving and pull trigger I find this method better as it doesn't restrict your field of view and it gives you a better action when shooting. As if you shoot gun ready mounted the clay c

Starters bud put a board up 35 -40yrds away say 3'x3' make it into quarters mount the gun and shoot straight at it with out aiming as such then count the shot in each quarter then repeat with a new board same place same distance this will then tell you if your gun is shooting high low left or right with greater % in which quarter then you can get the gun fitted so you are getting a even shot spread. As you maybe giving correct lead but shooting under or over or behind the clay. But most clays that are crossing are missed behind watch other shooters stand behind to get a rough idea where they
