    Hi all, just though I would let you know how my first foray into knitting my own purse nets. So I got the hemp kit from bridport. The instructions were a bit vague and I found them hard to understand, but in there defense it is pretty hard to illustrate, something fiddley on one sheet of A4. YouTube to the rescue. So on a YouTube vid, it told me to make the net 15 meshes wide and 18 meshes long. I must have screwed up cause my net, used 3 needlefuls of hemp and is about 6 feet long.....Haha. I just started watching the telly and kept going till it was 15 x 18. I also found it quite hard to get

    Cheers for the replies guys. Just started my first net last night with a kit from bridport. I will look into the costs of spools of paracord. The YouTube vids were really useful.     Hi, just a quick question for those of you who make your own purse nets. What mm braid do you use for the drawcord. Also has anyone tried or had any success using paracord for the draw cord of the net. all the best, G

    You are sitting at a computer, using the internet. mate just use googlemaps or one of the other mapping services to work it out. Just took me 6 seconds to find out it was in lincolnshire. 6 seconds....jeez.

    Haha you must be one of those comedians i have heard so much about. I think we all understand the meaning of "white" and " lakeland". I have heard it argued that white lakelands are russells, or have a percentage of russell breeding in them. Then on this site i see them listed as pure lakeland, as i said, just wanted to know the truth, if there is any, in regards to that. Do you keep white lakelands? All the best, G

    Hello, congrats on a very smart looking dog, i would love to know, is the dog pictured a white lakeland x russell? I am very confused as to the whole white lakeland thing, i understand some people have very strong views about what they are, and whether they even exist.
