Take the batteries out and make sure the connections are clean, i hope you are not using rechargable batteries , you should be using standard batteries, put some new ones in and try it again, if still not working let me know

kites if set up correct with the right tube are more than capable just use the centre dot on small stuff.does not cost much to correct parallax issues if you know who to ask also you can have them set to focus up close quality robust scope with brill optic's just say hi to all i like your handle made me you seem to know a lot about the kite personally i havent owned one because all the people i have spoken to that use them say they'ar not accurate enough for the purpose we want to use them for. i have seen through quite a few of them though and they give a brilliant picture even with

The Kite was built to kill people not vermin so with the chevron ret and parallex issue on most Kites its hard to place the shot on a rabbit or fox size target past 100yards. They make very good spotters and can make a very good weapon sight but usually alot of money needs to be spent on them to correct the parallex and replace the chevron ret to a dutch ret, i know one person that does repairs on the kite as its a bit of a specialised job and certain tools are needed. Most Kites are sold as gen 3 but turn out to be 25 year old gen 2 EEV tubes so be careful, second/hand price is around £1000

Hopefully this one will help you derboy No Andy its a 4hr trip for me and i do try to get to Darrens (lordlardofframs) NV meets, i also do a small NV meet for the game keepers in my area.
-
The member is asking for the best NV monocular and you suggested the Archer and the firefly laser, i have been using NV for many years and have owned or used most commercial NV also built a fair bit. I do alot of testing & comparing of NV as its not cheap and its nice to buy the once and get it right, so my advice to you and anyone else that thinking of buying a NV unit is go to a NV meet and see whats out there, you should be able to view a PVS-14 gen3 and an Envis gen3 and the D300 gen2 as for the laser look at the N1000 or the N2000. Pledgey you are happy with your kit and it does t

Its quite obvious your knowledge on NV is outdated the archer isn't even in the top 3 and the firefly laser is the same, both are well over priced, might of been top bits of kit 10 years ago but now day we know better.

If you shoot a regular area you can put small bits of reflector tape at certain distances on trees or fence posts, if its a large field you can do the same by using wooden stakes with the tape on, the reflector tape can be found on ebay for around £6 which will last years, when out at night your NV will pick it up and give you an idea of the distance
