  1. fireblade_rrw Two write ups both from aboard so i would not trust them as good info, you know what the fox is like when it comes to putting a light on them, not sure on javelin think is a pig of some sort could be wrong but its not a fox seeing a target at 1762 yards hmmm if it was that good no one would buy NV or a lightforce lamp ,the write up i put up was from a trustworthy UK shooter who know whats good and whats not and at £300 + i know who i would believe
  2. I hate to see fellow shooters wast money, its like any sport the companies are out to get as much money as poss out of YOU weather it works or not, if you want to get a touch get a cree torch, down side is it eats batteries good side you can get them for under £30 , claims from shooters is it goes out to 200 yards
  3. Thanks for that PC, but it doesn't say why? The February edition of Gunmart has given it a really good write up for foxes. I should perhaps say, I shoot around 50-70 foxes a year, but I'm always looking for ways to improve the success rate! I've flirted with NV, but it looks like unless you spend bucket loads for Gen3, then it isn't effective. I'm looking for something that I can use between 100-200yds. Could you to elaborate on why you think its a waste of cash? Have you used one? Does the n1000ap do the same job? The N1000ap is an infrared laser which is used in conjunction
  4. Have a look here http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/191945-laser-light/ total wast of money Also have a read here http://www.rapid7ownersclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=17561&start=0
  5. Have a look on ebay http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A4341&rt=nc&_nkw=lightforce+lamp&_dmpt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=16&_sc=1
  6. Don't wast your money just buy the ir laser n1000ap around £115 to £145
  7. For the price of the laserluchs ir laser illuminator at around £450 you will be disappointed yes it might be eye safe but that's about it, you are using a firearm which does a lot more damage than an ir laser so do the same thing , don't point it at anyone and when you have finished with it take the battery out, job done
  8. ukhunter was it you that made this scope list up and have you tested all the above scopes ? I thought the list came from Baldie over on the bbs could be wrong tho?? baldie put a list up on the bbs but i have added too it but that was a long time ago No problem Anthony just found out who you are
  9. ukhunter was it you that made this scope list up and have you tested all the above scopes ?
  10. What scope do you have at the moment ? the top three in the list are good and not that expensive, try s/hand you should get one around the £100 mark
  11. The Archer add-on (D grade )is around £1650 personally i would bother with one at these prices you would be better off with an envis gen 3 you will be able to shoot at longer rangers and have a much clearer view of your quarry and save yourself around £150 which could be sent on an ir laser N1000 or a DSA which are around £140. Some people will sear by them but until you have put one side by side to other units like the envis you will know what i mean.
  12. Now Sold Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 MC as new with paper work & box it has the 43 ret which is mil-dot, no marks or scratches, lovely foxing scope Asking £550 posted by special delivery next day
  13. That's correct Mick, i have tried it but would say its good for rat shooting not long range shooting Would you say it would be adequate for rabbits to say 50yds? Im thinking of buying one of the Pulsar units for ratting as i have a 1.5-5x20 simmons wtc on my sub 12ft lb webley lite w-8 but would also like to use it on my fac rapid (simmons 3.5-10x50 WTC) for rabbits. I tend not to use much more than x5 mag when lamping and dont find myself shooting much more than 40yds or so. rgds Mick Mick it was over 2 year ago if my memory serves me right it was good out to around 30 yards ,
  14. The Leupold VX3 4.5-14x50 lr V the MTC Viper 6-24x56 you will find top end scopes have more coatings on the lenses to prevent white out this can cause some scope not to preform as good with some add-on's , also its down to what add-on you are using gen1/2/3, i done a repair on an Archer which the image intensifier tube had gone down it was a game keepers unit and money wasn't a problem his employer was paying , the lad loved the unit so didn't want a replacement so i offered him a gen 3 mx100160 tube which cost £1000 at the time , i fitted the tube and the unit was better than the envis,
  15. That's correct Mick, i have tried it but would say its good for rat shooting not long range shooting

  18. Which clulite have you ? there is more than one model
  19. pav the list is only what people have used so far and there is probably loads more. thats why i tried to give a bit more info by saying
  20. So much for Thomas jacks advice about the front lens not fitting i am glad you got that sorted,i can not check all the info i am given but i would of thought TJ's should of known this 100% look on here for some scopes that work well http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/188239-pulsar-challenger-gs-1x-20/
  21. It is as Stalker says, i have used a day scope and swapped to a dedicated NV scope on one rifle, i used Warne Q/D Mounts and a picatinny rail, it worked well and i was around 1 to 2 click out every time i swapped the scopes, i also used a torque wrench to do the mounts up to the same setting every time but could never get it bang on, i was looking for nothing less than a 1" group at 150yards so it all comes down to how accurate you wish to be.
