  1. I can't see it on iplayer, can someone put a link up?
  2. I've bought a secondhand nightsearcher 750 just to get my pup going on a few young rabbits over the summer to get her ready for starting properly in September. The bloke I bought it off had lost the charger but had a cigarette lighter charger for it. When the battery is plugged into the cigarette charger it lights up as it should do and is therefore charging. I bought a charger off ebay and it's arrived today. However, I've plugged it in and it doesn't seem to work. The LED on the battery doesn't light up (it very briefly flashes green when you first plug it in but then goes out). I'v
  3. very nice, and crackin running pic!
  4. don't take this the wrong way but I've never seen a dog like that in my life! it's neck and head look like it's off a different dog when compared to the body! Is it just a straight bull/grey?
  5. mine was like that today, took her for a walk today for about an hour and a half and she acting like it was the height of summer by the end of it, proper panting and looking for puddles. And yet the car thermometer said 14oC! must be the humidity.
  6. If your dog is used to running behind a motorbike how do you know it's not going to run after a motorbike if one passes a field while you're out?
  7. She said she'd tried to find out who's it was, she'd phoned vets and dog warden I think. If someone had nicked it from another area and then dumped it though it wouldn't necessarily be registered in this area. Fair play I think its really cool that an old lady would pick up a lurcher off the street and take it in! yep, don't think her cat thought it was very cool though wierdly though, she said her daughter keeps rabbits in a hutch in the garden and it doesn't pay them any attention at all....maybe the reason why it was dumped (if it was dumped!).
  8. Cheers for that, no it isn't that one unless it's a very old picture. The one she had was probably about 2 or 3 years old, that one's a pup.

  10. saw an old dear on the park at the weekend with a brindle lurcher, I don't know the breeding but it looked like a grey/whip with a bit of beddy or something in it because it was broken coated, it was probably about 25 tts. She'd found it wandering the streets in Wrexham so took it in but can't keep it because it ragged one of her cats. It was very skinny so it's either been mistreated or it's been wandering the streets for a while. She goes to the park same time every day so if anyone's lost one or had one stolen PM me with your number (with pic if possible) and I'll get her to give you a b
  11. Just a quick question of my own (sorry if I'm hijacking the thread!). My pup is 9 months old next week, I've been sort of steadily ramping up the exercise (swimming, fetching, longer walks etc). At what point can you sort of stop being cautious with the exercise? Is it literally when they've stopped growing or is it still advisable to take it easy for a while after that? I understand that running prey on a young dog but's a lot of stress on joints, lungs and muscles but can you put too much strain with just routine exercise such as this? My pup is a real pain in the arse if she's not real
  12. I wouldn't risk that to be honest, all you need is one of them to run in front of the bike and you've got a dead dog and probably an injury to yourselve aswell! Why not get a mountain bike?
  13. Hmm, can't be anything to do with that then I don't think. It's a wierd one, are they both Jills? was thinking that myself mate i couldent see it being that either yea it two jills he kept together well wierd, maybe they were just scrapping then. I've had ferrets since I was 7 and I've only ever had two that fought, and they were two hobs....even then though they would go at it big time but they never once even drew blood, it was more like really rough play fighting. I had to keep them in seperate hutches though in the end just in case. I suppose in any species of animals (or hum
  14. try them with kidney every so often aswell, they like that too
  15. yeah I give that to mine, they love it. Don't give it to them more than a couple of times a week though cos it's a bit too rich for them to have it every day.
  16. ahhh Dave, delete that post quick, you were getting loads of credit then!!! chicks love poems, you might score!
