  3. back to your original question, www.medicanimal.com is a brilliant site and it's half the cost you'll pay at the vets for any medication. Rapid delivery aswell

Did you not get your dog this jan? There's a very very simple explanation I reckon.....he's about 13! and instead of just reading stuff and listening to people with more knowledge and experience, and learning by experiencing things himself, he's the type of knobheaded teenager who thinks he knows it all....every single one of his posts show's that this is
  7. 100% if your dog shits more its not down to what you feed it, think about it, its the amount!!! It's the amount of content of the food you've given it that the dog doesn't actually use (i.e. waste products). In raw food they use virtually the whole lot so there isn't much waste, in dry food there's all sorts of shite in there so they shit a lot more, and it's a lot sloppier aswell. When fed raw the stools are firm and dry.
  8. My lurcher pup eats sticks and bits of wood, she does it all the time when I'm out. And she isn't just chewing it she swallows it aswell. The mastiff I had when she was a very young pup used to rip pieces of wood and branches to pieces but not actually eat them and I was wondering if she's seen him doing it and is just copying (thinking he's eating it), or if there's a genuine reason why she does it. It doesn't seem to cause any harm and just passes right through her, but I don't know if it'd build up in the intestines over time and cause problems further down the line? I've never had
  9. what type of injury do you need it for? Why would you need to know that? becuase if it's for a joint I have some previcox he could have, which I've found to be better than Metacam. It's the same sort of thing but more specialised for inflammation of joints. that ok? only trying to help!!!! That's fair enough pal calm down, I just wondered why someone would ask a question like that on a raving forum like this. Fair play for trying to help. I'm not wound up, just thought it was a bit of an odd reaction to a simple question. I didn't ask how it did it, just ask
  10. iv had a few ferrets rip theyr way oot them ferret bags mate, be carfeull Yeah I thought that before I got them but these are proper heavy duty canvas, there's no way they'd be able to rip these, they have a bloody good go though!!

  13. I started using bags instead of boxes at the end of last season, I much prefer them, got them off ebay for a tenner each. The only problem with that box is that if you slipped and landed on your arse you'd by lying there all day!!!
  14. Good post Not sure about tasting dry dog food tho, I tried ALDI beans once and I though I'd hit rock bottom then!!
  15. Yeah? Can't be arsed mate cause you've been speaking a pile of f*****g shit!!! How the hell does a dog know it's going to die when you take it to the vest to be put to sleep. That's totally ridiculous. It's been there for innoculations, boosters and to have injuries dealt with involving needles and did it die then? No it didn't so that's a crock of shit. I think there's an element of truth in what sighthound said, when I took my mastiff to be pts in November (due to kidney failure) he definitely knew something wasn't right and he'd been to the vets loads of times in the best for jabs and a
  16. If anyone fancies another laugh, he's at it on the working dog health section now, I think this lad ranks as being the thickest member on here
  17. No, I wouldn't eat it raw - but thqat's not what humans do is it??? Have you ever seen a wolf standing at a stove with an apron on, a coyote at a cooker or a dingo at the microwave? Why cook it? Raw meat is the biologically most appropriate food for dogs. Can't see the point in cooking it - lot's of extra work. Never seen either of these.....but I once met an elephant at a bbq, but that's another story....and I blame the stella I used to feed mine dry food and cooked meat, now feed primarily raw and have seen a major different, better teeth and coat and more energy, dog just looks mo
