  1. When I first started I lamped on a slip, then trained the lurchers to lamp off the lead, hard work at first but perseverance paid off, then worked them off slip all the time, using a hiss to send the lurcher. Always like a lurcher well trained in day as well, for ferreting and mooching, retrieving a must day and night, anyone tells you different aren't capable. my two will lamp off lead i never even taught them they just done it but as for retrieve its no chance, some dogs obviously wont do it as i have tried and better tried to learn them and they show no intrest what so ever i would much

  8. i thought that being soft would make them worse but it seems to be when they are hard it happens maybe there is no give or something, i think its just she has very bad pads she is 2year old so its not a puppy thing
  9. my saluki whippet x bull greyhound has got funny looking big back pads they have like furry skin on them and look different to any other pad ive ever seen and they are always rubbing off it can happen on soft ground aswel, does anyone have this problem or any advise as to stop it, i rub sudo crem on them everyday to soften them it is not happening as much as before but does still happen it is annoying because it cant run until healed and then it happens again
  10. but would this cross reatreve charlie? i know one that will have a nip and a twist but is more than likley not up to the job on its own, and most saluki xs will back out after feeling a pearly white or let off a mighty squiel just because a dog squeels dont mean it will not do one,non of our dogs have done it single handed and to be honest i would put pound to a penny they wont they both got bit because they are backenders (scared of the teeth) and both squeeled like mad so it aint just the saluki x ive no doubt that mine will do single shes only a young dog yet and has her self t

  14. nitestalker 220mm or a blitz becouse you can ajust the beam 2 b wide or small i find the striker to be the best as its not to big and heavy i just use it on the tightest spot beam as it has more range, i have a spare one exactly the same but the spot seems to be wider and dont have the same range
  15. any pure whippets ive seen shiver in rain and cold maybee not them all. and they have thin skin that tears easy the bedlington adds a thicker skin and coat which imo makes them a bit more robust for colder weather i think 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy is a good cross,we bred some and nearly all the pups looked like well built whippets, imo the little bit of bedlington makes them have more stamina and be a little tougher
