Good advice - cheers, i thought that collie x would be sure footed... have felt wary about getting anything with Saluki x as a friend had one and it was barking mad (jumped through a glass window to get at the postie!). I've grown up with two whippets but am dogless at the moment... both caught rabbits and hare but were also pack members of the family, mixing in with kids, cats, hiking, horses, other dogs and open fires! Ideally i would like to get a good natured, steady bitch as a pup that would be a family member but also a good hunting compadre!
