    signed but i also think i would be a good idea to bring in some sort of controlling issue to who owns air rifles like a small questionaire etc to get license or air rifle has to be registered to a person and if anything happens etc there to blame like fac to stop idiots goin and buying an air rifle off local smack head and shooting around kids parks etc with no gun knowledge at all

    yeah i seen it this morning and i dnt think it will happen as it will just meen more trapping and more quarry getting caught that was not intended i think that maybe there should be some sort of register or some small questionaire etc

    i am lookin for a bit more info on decoying for the use of a air rifle as i will be wanting them to land so is decoying in a tree work beter or on ground and how many decoys will i need cheers kev

    cheers that is what i am using at the minute and seem pretty good did you keep you lightning standard or did you tune up or put gas ram in etc cheers

    i wouldnt get to carried away about the gun have a look at his later thread about it , the seals have gone could just be a lemon from the factory like but as he says ya confidence aint there no more

    when i was about 14 i had an old bsa meteor was looking through th hedge at a set i knew about and started creeping up on a couple of bunnys sat soaking up some rays when i pheasant jumped up infront of me like they do and you miss a heart beat and i just swung gun up and took a daft shot at it more cos id shit myself but because the rabits i was creeping up on had also bolted and to my suprise the thing fell out of the sky and give a little kick etc and when i got there the pellet was just above the crop and the neck bone was pierced the skin so i always thought that the pellet hit it just a

    is it possible to decoy magpies i was thinking of getting a couple of magpie decoys and putting a rabbit carcase or something on the ground to look like they feeding on it then sitting in hide and pick them off as they land for a meal anybody ever tried this and to wat success

    gas fitters etc use them to se if the flu is working properly etc but i think you can buy them from b & q or prob even ebay they just like a small plastic bit of pipe filled with a tight compact white powder which smoulders for about 2 minutes and the smoke is really thick and white and for pumping at into the hole i was goin to use a balloon pump or something

    cheers lads thought as much will just let the dogs get to em , i wonder if they could be netted with a small gauge net like fishing net micromesh or something how many hols does a rat normally have

    all the time i have been shooting i have never really got into shooting rats and mainly just shot rabbits, squizzers and pigeon but am thinking of smoking rats out for terriers but am wondering if it poss to shoot the lil feckers or do they just bolt and dnt stop is it possible to bolt them and shoot them with an air rifle

    personally id net the lake if possible and see exactly what is in the lake then id remove all the roach etc and sell to another fisherie etc then if you not to bothered about future breeding of the cap id buy myself a couple of wells catfish about 4lb mark and they will keep the pond in good nick the reason for this is if the pond is full of lil roach etc and yor big carp buy adding a load of perch will up the nitrate, nitrite and the amonia firstly by the extra pressance of fish but if all thses little roach are eaten the perch have to shit them out somewere , i had exactly the same circumsta

    have anybody ever used the little smoke bombs for ratting the ones that gas engineers use or they not very good just thinking of something instead of carrying a big smoker

    cheers mate i think ill prob do the same and just zero at 10yds or so and use it or close range stuff , can imagine it would be ok for pigeons comming into roost as not lifting gun straight up to you shoulder and spooking them so can just mover from hip and drop him
